NOT really a restaurant, but one of the best burritos you can get in the East Village if not all of NYC. There are only 4 tables in this tiny Mexican Bodega turned restaurant. Daily choices of meat are made by the owners each day. Home cooked, great prices, a real gem.

Drinks & Nightlife

No Alcohol, only KAVA served here. The sacred drink is served in a chill urban vibe that sometimes pours out onto the street but always involves mingling with locals and Kava enthusiasts.

This quiet empty storefront on Avenue C has been the long time home of eclectic music lovers. The low key venue has folded chair seating and a tiny bathroom behind the stage, no theatrical lights and no drinks, JUST MUSIC. Entertainment & Activities

This Lower East Side establishment has been a classic visit for it's low key atmosphere but high temperature saunas. Pick your flavor of medicinal steam rooms or the main room which is a sauna that boasts of 250 Fahrenheit (121 C) temperatures

Getting Around

My best transport recommendation is to grab the M14A at 11th street between Avenue A & Avenue B. If you take it north and across 14th street to any cross town subway for the (4,5,6,N,R Union Square Stop) (L train to Brooklyn at 1st Avenue Stop) and to (A,C,E at 9th Avenue Stop).

Go back in time to when the Lower East Side was tenement housing and immigration was the creating the base for the melting pot of ethnic, religious and cultural diversity that is NYC today.
