Old Timber House

Charming old Timber House in Lapland, beside the Torne river with electric heating and modern touch, bathroom and kitchen. The whole house is for guests. Living area downstairs is 95m2, upstairs is uninhabited, deserted. 2 bedrooms with double beds and historical living room 'pirtti' with wooden log walls and fireplace. The pirtti represents the traditional western lappish house with hundreds year old charm. Currently no sauna, but there's a hot bathing tub on the yard.

Cosy lakeside cottage - Svanstein, Swedish Lapland

Welcome to 'Lapland Lights' - our cosy cottage in the peaceful village of Svanstein, 10km north of the Arctic Circle. Stunningly located on the shore of Kuittasjärvi, just where a small island marks the point the lake turns into a river. Across the lake you can see Svanstein Ski centre, which is 5 minutes' drive away and has 16 slopes. The house is newly renovated and in the outbuilding is a traditional wood-fired sauna with views over the river and island.
