A perfect place for anyone who loves exploring the Norwegian nature, or simply wants to look at it while lounging on the couch. The river that runs right beside the cabin is perfect for canoeing. And you can regularly see birds, moose, and other wildlife by the river. There are also good hiking areas, ski tracks, and snowmobile trails. The cabin is located in Herringen, 18km outside the city centre. We have all basic facilities, WiFi, TV, toilet, heated floors, dishwasher, & washing machine.

Stedet ligger ca 1 km fra fergekai på Ågskardet, like ved sjøen. God utsikt fra huset, til fjord og fjell i området. Nært Svartisen, Norges nest største isbre. Gode mulighet til fjellturer, både enkle og mer krevende. Kajakkpadling. Huset er fra 1800-tallet, men renovert og nytt bad i 2017. Opprinnelig stabbur. Utstyrt for enkel matlaging, med hybelkomfyr. Mulighet for fisketurer, og hjelp til tilbereding av egen fangst. Elbillading bare etter avtale på forhånd.

Svartisen Northern light

Welcome to Svartisen Northern light. The cabin is located by the seaside and has a private dock. You can also find a telescope inside the cabin, and during the winter this is the place to observe the Northern lights when the sky is clear. The boat to Svartisen are approximately 100 m away from the cabin, so this is a perfect place to start glacier hiking. If you like fishing there is a small boat available during the summer.
