We'll get comfortable in our studio barn/workshop area, where you'll grab a glass of homemade wine from our organic orchard, wildcrafted herbal tea, and/or fruit-infused spring water from our bar before we get started. Once everyone is settled with a beverage, I'll do a quick demonstration to show you the techniques and procedures for making several different styles of rings. Then you'll get busy working hands-on with different tools and materials to create your own custom, unique ring exactly to your liking. I can provide as much support as necessary to help you to feel comfortable with the process and to create your desired outcome. We'll seal/finish your ring if necessary and you'll take it home with you at the end of the session. For those who are interested, you will also have an opportunity to tour our urban homestead and be immersed in the many endeavors we have going. Other things to note: -We have free-range chickens and 2 outdoor farm cats. All are friendly. :) -If you aren't seeing the date or time you'd like available on the calendar, feel free to send me a message and we'll try to work something out if possible! -In order to maintain the very intimate nature of this experience and the value for all guests, we typically do not allow non-participating onlookers. Downtown Sunset Kayak with 1.5M Bats!
Welcome to Austin's #1 booked tour! I can say with confidence this is the best group on the water. March 5th Update: The bats are back and they've been amazing. Come see for yourself! Let's meet up for an epic night of kayaking. It's 4 incredible trips in one. 1st you paddle the length of downtown during the day and then we catch the sunset over the water. The bats are the main event and we end with downtown paddle at night! Add in a full moon or bright stars occasionally and this trip is one not to miss! If trip is sold out, ask if I can fit you in. Float the Canyons of the Rio Grande
Imagine floating thru the epic canyons of the Rio Grande on a full day, fully guided, fully equipped trip. The Rio is mostly flat water for a scenic adventure. The river has class I rapids that is perfect for our first timers. Come learn and/or work on your boating skills. The water levels fluctuate and can influence what boats we take: rafts (we can row you down the river or everyone paddles), canoes, or kayaks. Throughout the winter season, the river is usually not more than thigh deep. Riding in a raft with all your favorite people makes for some fun pictures. We can row you down the river in a raft or if you/some/all want to paddle raft that is a great option too. At lower water levels we like to canoe and kayak. The canoes are 2 seaters with the option to ride smaller kids in the middle. The kayaks are single or tandem sit in or sit on top and are totally lots of fun. Weather also can influence what the choice boat would be. We meet up in the morning and then drive down to the river. Included is all gear and dry bags. Please bring your own food and beverages. A cooler to put your lunch in and ice water is provided. Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. Cuddle with Kunekune Pigs for Adults Only

Message us if you want to book a kids experience. We will start the experience in the backyard where you will meet Ripley the house pig. You'll learn about the history of Kunekune pigs and what makes them so unique. If we have younger pigs that are living in the backyard you'll get to meet them then too. I'll have treats prepared for you to feed the pigs and you'll learn how to make them sit and get their treats. Then I'll take you to meet the adult pigs first the girls and then the boys. We have 20 pigs that make up "Halbert Herd" and their ages range from 4 months to 9 years. You'll get to feed the adults treats and they love getting attention and being petted. Most of them will lay down and want their belly rubbed. If we have piglets you'll get to spend time in the piglet pen, depending on their age, you may be able to feed them treats and when they get to be about 3 weeks old they will crawl on your lap. Other things to note Make sure to wear closed toes shoes, pigs like to chew on toes. Rain, hiking, mud boots are great options. You will get dirty and we will be outside. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. Long pants work better even when its hot because we may walk in tall grass in the pastures.

Electric Bike City Tour of Dallas
Join us for a memorable ELECTRIC BIKE or E-BIKE tour of Downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum & Fair Park on our tour led by locals that highlights local history, art & natural surroundings. Our tour is a 10 mile ride featuring one hill at a social pace & is for beginner to intermediate cyclists. We do have the ability to customize the route depending on your needs & abilities. We will rent you one of our own electric bicycles which allow the rider to truly customize their experience. There is a pedal assist option so you can just sit back & relax! Cycling provides us a way to social distance & be outdoors. Equipment is sanitized between riders. We begin by fitting you on your rental & doing a safety check. You will want to bring your own, $, sunglasses, water & a small fanny-pack or mini backpack if you have items to carry. The tour starts by going through Deep Ellum to the popular Deep Ellum Blues Wall as well as other murals. We will then head to the Trigger Fingers Wall followed by Fair Park. On the way back, we will wind through Downtown Dallas & stop at sites such as the AT & T Discovery District, Dealey Plaza, Dallas City Hall & Pioneer Plaza. This is an experience. First time introduction to pottery throwing with the pottery wheel and clay. Learn to use the pottery wheel, center clay and make a bowl, cup or plate. Students will be given two hours to play with clay. We will learn how to use a pottery wheel to make a bowl and cup. You'll start the tour by getting introduced to honeybees and why they are SO awesome! We'll explain the different types of bees you'll see in the hive and maybe correct some common misconceptions. The last thing before you suit up will be some brief safety instructions. Now its time to you will get to put on the bee suits, light the smoker, and dive into the hives together. You can be as hands-on or hands-off as you are comfortable with, but we promise we'll do everything in our power to make sure it is a great experience. Historic Horseback Ride In Austin, Tx
At Southern Trails you will enjoy a genuine Texas experience! There's no better way to explore the Hill Country than on horseback. Misti and I will take you on a scenic, guided horseback ride, show you the reins, and ensure you have a fun experience. First, we will pair you with one of our highly trained and lovable horses! (Whiskey, Bear, Mississippi, Comanche, or Dolly!). Next, we will have a brief lesson where you will learn to stop, turn and ride the proper way on the trails. Then we will head out and take an hour trail ride through the beautiful hill country. We will ride through trees, up hills, down hills. We will pass some creeks and ponds and even a graveyard dating back to the 1700’s! The graveyard is said to hold the relatives of Davy Crockett as well as some other heroes from Texas history! We will stop to take a couple pictures along the way! If you have younger children please call and ask about "Little Dude Ride." Join our Custom Candle Making Experience in Dallas, TX! Hosted by clean, coastal-inspired fragrance company, Malibu Apothecary, guests can either participate in a group or private experience (contact us) to create a custom scented candle with their own personalized label! Create your own bespoke signature scent while learning the basics of fragrance composition. Choose your favorite jar color to pour your custom scent & 8oz of all-natural wax! (~1hr) While the candles cure (1-1.5hr), enjoy complimentary refreshments and light appetizers (BYOB welcome) as we explain the differences between clean & toxic fragrances with a brief history of perfumery. This is the perfect time to mingle with your group, enjoy snacks and drinks, board games, and design a personalized label on-site with your own photo, logo, etc.! Horse back riding @ Rockin star ranch! You'll start your time off being fitted with a riding helmet followed by a half hour of instruction on how to properly saddle and mount your horse, how to properly fit the bridle on their head, how to put a bit in their mouth, basic left, right, forward, backward, and stop commands. After that (if you feel confident) we will ride around the arena to get you acclimated to your new friend. Still feeling good? Off we go to tour the property! We've got Oryx, Elk, Auodad, Axis deer, Whitetail deer, Rams, and all sorts of other furry little critters that might happen to cross our path. Bring your boots and jeans!
West Texas Ranch Tour - Donkeys, Chickens, & Nature Viewing
*Message us for alternative times. We are flexible! * Your West Texas Ranch Tour will begin upon arrival at the main house. You will be given a 15 minute overview of the 300 acre property, its history and its current uses. We will also use this time to identify your specific interests and then will adjust how the rest of the time is spent accordingly. Such interests may include: 1) Demonstrations of a working Texas windmill 2) Learning about West Texas plants, topography and rocks, 3) Crop and rangeland management, or 4) Interacting with chickens and other livestock, including domestic mules and donkeys. After the 15 minute overview, we will then depart the main house on a UTV cart for the rest of your tour. The highlight of the visit to the ranch for many guests is learning about the care of the more than 80 donkeys on site. Additionally, many birdwatchers enjoying catching glimpses of numerous bird species that are found on both the creek that winds through the property as well as the birds that inhabit the rest of the ranch. Numerous birds of prey call the Chaos Ranch home. You may also catch a glimpse of armadillos, deer, and jackrabbits. While we do not permit interaction with wildlife on the ranch, you can enjoy watching them from the cart. There are many photo opportunities, and guests enjoy getting away from the city and being in nature for a few hours.
Austin Unlocked- A Speakeasy Tour
Go on a walking, cocktail tasting, tour of downtown Austin! We'll stop and talk about several hidden-face speakeasy style bars - some stashed inside parking garages, behind bookshelves, down alley ways, pass-code and password protected, and private clubs! We'll get you into three where we can order drinks! Meet downtown and we'll sit and chat for a few minutes introducing ourselves and what it means to call a bar a speakeasy in Austin, TX. Then, we walk to the first bar. All the bars are located downtown within a few blocks of each other. We'll spend 30-45 minutes in each of three bars, having drinks, learning about the place, and appreciating the aesthetic. Throughout the night we will continue on past several more hidden-face speakeasy style bars, stopping in some and just stopping to talk about others. The night ends once you get into the third and final bar and get your drinks ordered. We do not to include drinks to give you a lower price and more choice. We will have a group tab which can be paid for via cash, Apple Pay and Cash App. Prices vary by venue but $15-25 per drink (including a 20% tip) is a good ballpark.

It doesn’t matter if you have never been on a horse before or if you have not ridden in years, our expert guides will start you off with an easy to understand instruction, ensuring that you will be comfortable and safe. No matter your experience level, you will enjoy the scenic views, fresh air and learning from our guides as they share their unique experiences as horsemen. Other things to note Closed toed shoes are required. Long pants are highly recommended. Dress appropriately for the weather. Most people don't wear warm enough clothes in the winter months!
