This is an iconic sight and educational experience in one. There’s been a Boqueria market in Barcelona since medieval times, though this exact spot has only witnessed trade for about 200 years. That elegant and distinctive iron and glass roof you’ll see was put up in 1914. Whether you want to do some food shopping or just take in the sights and sounds of a bustling urban market it’s a real eye-opener. It’s a grid of permanent stalls selling fruits, vegetables, cold meats, cheese as well as olive products. The whole market converges on an oval plan of fishmongers in the centre. Cool off with a beer and a tapa at one of the market’s bars.

The Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, often simply referred to as La Boqueria, is a large public market in the Ciudad Vieja district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, and one of the city's foremost tourist landmarks, with an entrance from La Rambla, not far from the Liceo, Barcelona's opera house. The market has a very diverse selection of goods.
The San José Market, popularly known as La Boquería, is a municipal market located on Las Ramblas. Besides being a place where you can buy all kinds of fresh products, it is also an amazing tourist attraction. A delicious food experience.
It is one of the beautiful local fruits, vegetables, fish and meat market. It is for local people but it became very popular for tourists for its location and charm. You can buy fresh fruit for a good price. You can make nice photos. I recommend this place. ^^
The iconic outdoor food market on the Ramblas. Make sure you make your way past the first wave of stands which cater predominately to tourists since they sell cut fruit and juices. This market has changed a lot over the years as it has become more of a tourist attraction than a real market for locals. At the back, many small restaurants that sell tapas with countertop service have opened. I have yet to try them since I have never been able to get a place to sit, but some of them have been there for years and are well known. If you are not a fan of hoards of people in a small space, you may want to just walk around the exterior to get a feeling for the place.
