I like being immersed in Constantin Brâncuși’s beautiful studio, which the Centre Pompidou replicated exactly in 1997, 40 years after the Romanian artist’s death. The studio has big glass windows that let in natural light, showcasing Brâncuși’s elegant work in wood and plaster, and his endless columns and streamlined bird forms. In front of the museum, stop to admire the work of another sculptor, Alexander Calder, and the Stravinsky fountain, or Fontaine des Automates, made in 1983 by Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle.
