One of the loveliest trails to walk to get a short hike in before dinner, before breakfast or for a stroll.
This trail starts right at the end of our road (CR 110). There's a parking lot which makes it easy to bring your bike or your dog. Once the snow melts, be sure to hike the slide down into the Gorge. If you keep following the trail, you'll end up at the river, which is lovely in the spring, summer, and fall. In winter, you can hike the upper trails that run alongside the Gorge.

The Slide Trail: A few miles outside of town on the southside is a really beautiful hike. Turn onto SR 570, signs will say you are heading towards the golf course and UNM. Take that road all the way to the end. Park in the parking lot and take the trail to the right that has you entering the gorge. It can be a workout! But so beautiful.
