Day Trip for White Villages - Ronda, Setenil y Zahara
We’ll go to 3 different locations that deserve to be visited: Zahara de la Sierra, Setenil de las bodegas and Ronda. We will make stops to take the best pictures and, at the same time, we’ll have time to explore each town and delight ourselves with the amazing gastronomy of this villages. Schedule? Here we go, team!: 9.00 am pick up at Prado de San Sebastián (we have our own private van) 10.30 am breakfast time: arriving at Zahara de la Sierra,we will enjoy a typical Andalusian breakfast at a highway bar which is a must to charge our batteries for the rest of the day. In Zahara we will visit the water reservoir, get to some panoramic points to take the best photos and then get into the beautiful town to walk it upside-down. 1.15pm hopefully arrived to Setenil de las bodegas (the town with the cave/mountain houses), time to have lunch (amazing tapas in a local restaurant) and keep walking to reach the upper point of the town, best views. 3.30 already in Ronda, time to explore the beautiful town (oldest bullring, Roman bridge, balcony) 5.30 pm, time to get on the van and start our journey back to Seville. 7.00 pm arrival at Seville. From BarroAzul we offer a workshop in which we will tell you where the Seville pottery tradition comes from, what are the ceramic techniques practiced over centuries and whose fame has transcended our borders. So, how do we do it? Firstly, we will tell you a little about the history of Sevillian ceramics. Next, you will be given a practical demonstration of Triana's main ceramic decoration techniques. You will be shown several of the oldest techniques for making 'Cuerda Seca', 'Arista' and 'Painted tile' tiles and you will have the opportunity to paint with yourself. Then, you will decorate your own tiles with two different techniques to take home with you. You can take your tiles with you, but YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST until 7:00 p.m. the next day. Our level of English is basic, please be patient with us. The last structure we'll visit will be the Gothic Palace, the first Christian building of the Alcazar built after the Reconquest. Then we'll head to the gorgeous gardens to finish our 2 hour guided tour at Maria Padilla Baths. Then you'll have all the time needed to explore the garden at your pace.

Our theme is ¨layers of history,¨ and what better place to start than on the steps of the massive Cathedral, built on top of the old principal mosque of Ishibilya, the Arabic name for Sevilla. Then we´ll pass through the heart of the old town, including the former Jewish quarter, plazas Alfalfa and Salvador, Arab baths and a hidden Roman temple, before finishing at the Metropol Parasol, known locally as ¨the Mushrooms,¨a giant wooden structure that doubles as the plaza mayor, and which encapsulates our theme--while digging the foundations for this ultramodern sculpture, Roman and Moorish archaeological remains were discovered. Along the way we can stop and have a drink and/or a tapa, if you like! The tour lasts roughly two hours.

There is no dish of Spanish gastronomy more internationally known than paella. Now, you can be part of its cooking and, of course, tasting! Learn why we use each ingredient, where they come from, and the history and evolution of this traditional Mediterranean cuisine and cultural dish. We will introduce and teach you how to make Paella along with a traditional sangria with the freshest ingredients in the area. Your dining experience is elevated by rooftop views of Seville. Our place is situated in one of the most emblematic buildings in the city, the Cristina Building. You can enjoy views of the Cathedral of Seville, Torre del Oro, Guadalquivir river, and Cartuja, and others. Included: Historical guide of the city from our terrace Tasting of three appetizers Showcooking with the classic and traditional vegetable or seafood paella (and eat it, of course!) Learn how to make an authentic Sangria Unlimited drinks (beer, wine, soft drinks, and water) Other highlights Our meeting point is, located at Paseo de las Delicias, 1, Sevilla, in between the Restaurant Uno de Delicias and the souvenir shop. Cooking Paella private rooftop with Sevilla's Cathedral view
You will enjoy learning step by step how to make the most exquisite paella in an exclusive rooftop with unique views of the historic center of Seville and of course, we will taste the paella we have made. We will meet up outside of the Alfonso XIII Hotel gate right at the corner of Puerta de Jerez. The hotel gate is across from a Starbucks. Then we will get to know each other in the group before walking into our exclusive location where we will enjoy the paella cooking class experience. We will take an elevator to reach the rooftop. Views will be blocked until the last person gets there. Then we will discover the unique views of the historic center of Seville. A welcome drink and few appetizers will be offered before to begin, then you will start cooking the paella together, following the step by step instructions on how to make the most exquisite paella. After adding the stock we will let the paella cook by itself. Sangria will be served at this point and we will do a mini-tour from the rooftop of the most important monument of the city from Plaza de España to the only skyscraper of Seville, Torre Sevilla. Later on, paella will be served to prove to ourselves how well we did! To finish, we will take a group photo with the instructor and the incredible views as the background. Before you leave, you will be given a special present that will remind us of the experience. Other things to note Children are not allowed in the experience. Due to it can be dangerous, the wall around the terrace is short and there are many risky things around like hot pan and boiling water.
