Our tour will begin on the farm with a welcome drink. While relaxing in a shaded part of the farm, I will present our community movement and teach you about how we grow our organic produce. After enjoying the welcome drink, we will walk along the community farm and learn about organic farming and the unique UNESCO- protected Subak System in Bali. During the farm tour, we will pick the ingredients that we are going to use during the cooking class for a true farm to table cooking experience. Once we arrive at the centre of the community, Mai Organic farm, we will drink a refreshing juice made with vegetables and fruit from our local farms. Following the drink, we will prepare six Balinese dishes, such as tuna sate and corn fritters. Students are able to participate as much or as little as they would like. We keep our class sizes small (max 8 people) to allow guests to be more involved in the cooking process and to provide better attention to each guest. After we finish cooking, we will teach you about our traditional offerings that we give to mother nature. Lastly, you will enjoy your meal in a tranquil gubuk (hut) with new friends from the tour. Take part in a cooking class with one of the best cooks in Ubud- Ayu! Ayu has been cooking professionally for years before she decided to teach cooking classes to those visiting Ubud. She would love to share her recipes and have you join her in making traditional Balinese food. During the class, Ayu will identify ingredients and assist you in the cooking process. Please feel free to ask her any questions you may have about Balinese food and Balinese culture! The class will include a three course vegetarian meal and a drink. After meeting at 6am, we will drive to Mengening, a water temple who’s name means “stillness”. There we will undertake a powerful cleansing ritual where you let go of everything which no longer serves you, and take in that which moves you forward. And for all the ladies, if you are in your period you are not allowed to do the ceremony in the temple due to Balinese Cultural Law and this is a STRICT RULES!!! We will then drive back to Ubud for a delicious breakfast before meeting a local Shaman. This Shaman normally only sees Balinese people as she doesn’t speak English but I will be able to translate for you. She will read your palm, look at your birth date and tap into the energy of your soul to give you guidance and advice on how to move forward with your life. It is a completely unique experience and not one that many tourists get to have! We will meet at meetings point at pranasanti santi yoga , then we go to the shaman house at her village .There we have time with the shaman private’s reading and she will look at your palm , look at your birth date and tap into the energy of your soul to give you guidance and advice on how to move forward. Our tour will begin on the farm with a welcome drink. While relaxing in a shaded part of the farm, I will present our community movement and teach you about how we grow our organic produce. After enjoying the welcome drink, we will walk along the community farm and learn about organic farming and the unique UNESCO- protected Subak System in Bali. During the farm tour, we will pick the ingredients that we are going to use during the cooking class for a true farm to table cooking experience. Once we arrive at the centre of the community, Mai Organic farm, we will drink a refreshing juice made with vegetables and fruit from our local farms. Following the drink, we will prepare six Balinese dishes, such as tuna sate and corn fritters. Students are able to participate as much or as little as they would like. We keep our class sizes small (max 8 people) to allow guests to be more involved in the cooking process and to provide better attention to each guest. After we finish cooking, we will teach you about our traditional offerings that we give to mother nature. Lastly, you will enjoy your meal in a tranquil gubuk (hut) with new friends from the tour.
