YOU CAN REQUEST A DIFFERENT STARTING TIME AND DAY! We will start with a wine tasting, toasting to the cooking class. We will taste extra virgin olive oil and learn how to recognize a good olive oil from a bad one. Then we will make 3 kinds of pasta: one with flour and water, and another with eggs, and maybe a lasagna. Then we'll prepare the pasta sauces and make tiramisu. All cooking sessions are tailor-made. We will enjoy with wines, liquors, and some good background music and have lunch under the Tuscan sun. Kids are welcome! I have 2 labrador retriver at the villa. Other things to note: Bring your camera. Dress code is: relax. It’ s a family atmosphere, relaxed and not formal! We'll cook with oil produced from our olive trees and with vegetables grown in our garden. We'll savor that we cooked during the lesson , sipping red wine produced by a local farmer. You will be immersed in a wonderful atmosphere, in an 18th century Villa on a charming hill in Val di Chiana. Surrounded by woodland where you can see squirrel, hares and deer. Wine Tasting, a charming glass of Tuscany
Visit of the new winery of Via della Stella, including a wine tasting. We will have a nice walk through the olive grove and the vegetable garden, accompanied by Chiara or a collegue. We will then take you to the new cellar where you will feel the place where our wines come to life. The modernity of the equipment combined with the charm of the old farmhouse make it a unique and authentic experience. Followed by the tasting of wines and a small tasting of typical products of our land.

We will cook the traditional dishes of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio together. Vegetarians or vegans can be accommodated. Our courses will be rich in flavor and taste and are very genuine, mostly using produce and herbs harvested from the garden. Lessons will be based on authentic cuisine taught to us by our moms and grandmothers. The recipes will be seasonal, because this area offers excellent culinary products. To start, I'll present the raw ingredients that we will use. We will start with a nice welcome snack or breakfast Rosso Montepulciano house wine, coffee, water included in the price. Tour in oliveto e degustazione olio extravergine di oliva
Vieni a trovarmi in azienda e scopri tutto quello che c'è da sapere su l'olio extravergine di oliva e su le olive. Sono agronoma, specializzata in colture vegetali arboree di pregio e dal 2015 ho aperto la mia azienda olivicola. La visita ha inizio in oliveto dove imparerai i diversi metodi di coltivazione dell'olivo, come si raccolgono le olive, come si produce l'olio e le sue caratteristiche. Finita la passeggiata saliremo in azienda per un mini corso di assaggio ed imparerai a riconoscere le qualità sensoriali dell'olio di oliva. Assaggerai l'olio con il tulipano: il bicchiere usato dagli assaggiatori per le analisi professionali. L'esperienza si chiude con la degustazione del nostro olio biologico abbinato a buonissimi prodotti del territorio: - Pane di grano Verna biologico macinato a pietra - Mix di verdure fresche e sott'olio - Pecorino di Pienza - Calice di Rosso di Montalcino Dulcis in fundo, per i più coraggiosi, un abbinamento insolito, ma assolutamente da provare: Gelato alla panna con olio extravergine di oliva. Non vedo l'ora di condividere con te tutto quello che c'è da sapere sull'olio! Ti aspetto nella mia azienda!

Non appena arrivati fornirò agli ospiti il menù della serata che varierà in base alle stagioni, inizieremo a scaldare il forno a legna e a cucinare le nostre pietanze, racconterò loro la storia dei piatti che mangeremo e non appena pronto sforneremo la nostra cena che consumeremo tutti insieme immersi nel verde della campagna umbra. Trascorreremo la serata all'insegna del cibo vero a km0, cibo che potremmo raccogliere insieme direttamente dal nostro orto e impastando la pasta proprio come si faceva un tempo im campagna. Altre cose da tenere a mente Tutta la serata si svolgerà in aperta campagna, sconsigliato a chi ha problemi con la natura o non ama stare all'aria aperta.

Behind the Label - Wine tasting & tour
We want you to see, smell, touch and taste the elements that combine to make our wines. On arrival you’ll be welcomed by Piero, Ramona or Sarah. We’ll introduce you to the rich wine-making heritage of the Orvieto area and go on a tour of the winery. You’ll be able to walk among the vines, feel the soils in which they grow and at the right time of year, even taste the grapes. From the vineyard we’ll move to our small cellar where you’ll learn about the winemaking process for our white and red wines and the final part of your time with us will be spent in the tasting room. Here you’ll be able to gain a greater understanding of how the wines are an expression of the place in which they’re made. We’ll sample both red and white wines, together with a selection of locally made breads, cheeses and artisan salumi. Please note that due to the terrain and property layout the tour is unfortunately not suitable for guests with physical impairments.

Insieme visiteremo i vigneti adiacenti all'azienda, per vedere da vicino come nasce la magia del nostro lavoro. Il tour proseguirà nel cuore della cantina dove potrai conoscere e vedere ogni aspetto del processo di vinificazione e affinamento. Infine degusteremo i vini accompagnati da prodotti tipici locali. Avrai non solo modo di assaggiare i nostri vini, ma imparerai anche le differenze delle varie tipologie!

We'll make an olive and wine tasting and we'll make several home made pastas immersed in the charming Tuscan country side. The villa where we cook is named Tenuta Dolciano and is back in 1635, which was bought by Francesco 1 dei Medici afterwards In 1769, Pietro (Granduca of Tuscany 1765-1790 and afterwards emperor of Austria) personally goes to visit the Tenuta and in 1777, he starts the extension and renovation of the buildings, that will continue until the unification of Italy. During the class we'll be happy to tell you some of the wine and oil history and general facts of Dei Medici Family. Other thing to note we'll cook in a tenuta of the grand Duke of Tuscany, not with him! You will cook with Alina!
Discovering truffles
Be prepared to live a unique experience, in contact with dogs and nature! Take a break from the city chaos that fills our days every day. After an introduction to the world of truffles, we will begin our hunt. You will see how the trained dogs hunt for truffles and the passion they have, this being a very rewarding activity for them. Truffle hunting is also accessible to children (my dogs will be happy to play with them!). After the truffle hunting we will have a lunch with truffle dishes. The menu is vast so I don't suggest you have a big breakfast! We also have menus for vegetarians, celiacs, vegans and we can also change it according to your allergies or intolerances. During lunch we will have the opportunity to get to know each other better, drinking good wine and eating fresh seasonal truffles. Other things to remember: - long and comfortable trousers are required (ankles must be covered). - I also suggest wearing a pair of boots. If you don't have them, sneakers are fine too.
