Based in Copenhagen Make Your Own Linocut Print Workshop will provide all the tricks to get you started on your introduction to basic print techniques . Printmaking is a fun way to create images that can be used as poster art, t-shirt & fabric designs, propaganda prints, or limited edition fine art prints. It's great for handmade gifts or extravagant hate messages. Great for singles, couples, groups, travelers and locals. (Write to me for larger groups). I will guide you through all the steps to make some rather impressive prints. Within the day we should have drawn out, carved and inked up your linoleum which will be transferred to paper. All materials are provided: linoleum, carving tools, inks, papers, caffeine, etc... band aid if required :) . 2 to 3 prints (of the same image) at the end of the day without chopping up your fingers is the aim, and a rather realistic one. Honningsmagning

Scandinavian outdoor life - run & swim
We meet at Klampenborg station. I live next to the station, so you can change into running gear and store your things at my place while we are out. We will be going for a 5 or 10 km run with stops for sights. The distance, route and pace is flexible. Running in the Deer park is a a spectacular sight, with amazing nature and historical attractions. It is home to more than 2,000 deer, to foxes, black raven and goshawk. The trees are mainly beech mixed with old and majestic oak trees. The area has been inhabited for more than 5,000 years and you will see many burial mounds from the Bronze age (1800 BC). Our run will take you past the King's hunting castle, the slopes of the wolves' valley, the world oldest amusement park Bakken (on the outskirts of the park) and the marsh, home to the mythic elf girls and the marsh woman. If we go for the longer run, you will also pass the Mill stream and a field covered in hawthorn, hiding it's sinister past as a mass grave for the victims of the plague. Back home, we will collect towels and swimming gear, water and hot drinks to bring to beach and go for the swim (or cold dip in the winter). Other things to note If you are healthy, taking a dip in cold water is safe, fun and rejuvenating. If you prefer to stay out of the water, it is no problem, we will just take a walk on the beach after the run.
The Kierkegaard experience
Experience the city that brought us Søren Kierkegaard You don’t need to be a philosopher to join this tour. If you enjoy a good story or just want to learn about Copenhagen’s history, this is the tour for you. The philosopher Søren Kierkegaard is one of the strangest figures Copenhagen has seen, and is undoubtedly one of the greatest minds to come out of this city as well as being a world-renowned philosopher! Born and raised in the capital, Kierkegaard (1813-1855) felt most at home walking the streets he knew better than most, talking to vendors, craftsmen and the ordinary people. On this walking tour through Copenhagen, you'll get the story of Kierkegaard's childhood, his growing up, his faith and philosophy (just a little), his struggles, mistakes and not least his unrequited love for Regine – to whom he dedicated his life’s work. The Copenhagen that Kierkegaard knew was quite different from today. With no sewerage, thousands of cows, pigs and horses, hundreds of thousands of rats – Copenhagen was known as one of the dirtiest cities in Europe. And yet it was: “Big enough to be a major city, small enough that there is no market price on human beings.” Other things to note Please note: the meeting place is NYTORV - and NOT Kongens Nytorv. :-)
Trace the steps of WW2 in Denmark
I will take you on a walk through the history of those five harsh years. Although Denmark had it easy compared to most of Europe, it still suffered devastating losses and hardship. You will learn about the invasion, the bombings, the official collaboration, the underground resistance, and the legendary rescue of Danish Jews. We'll travel through the conservative Frederiksberg, the artsy Vesterbro, and busy downtown districts. It will be a long stroll, but we'll stop for a rest and a refreshment along the way. Other things to note This will be quite a long walk, but we will take our time and rest when needed. If you are arriving on a bike, please note that the meet-up location and ending point will be almost three kilometers apart.
