Experience my authentic Viñales

HOLA! I'm Changa, Omar's brother & your guide! I invite you to a corner of Cuba that most visitors don't experience. A rural family run tobacco farm - NOT one of the touristic ones! We meet at the entrance to the National Park, mount my horses (don't worry - they're the best in the valley, I treat them like my family). We ride approx 30 minutes to visit a hidden cave (NOTE: this activity is weather dependent & will be decided on the day of your experience ). Bring a torch, and swimwear if you're feeling adventurous! Now we ride to our tobacco farm! We spend some time here; we show you around the crops, before heading inside the tobacco drying house where you'll be shown how we roll the world famous cigars and how to smoke them - naturally with a swig or two of rum for the full Cuban effect! Here we also try local honey, coffee & rum that we make here in Viñales. It's lunchtime, al-fresco! Home-cooked, typical Cuban food: rice, beans, seasonal vegetables, root vegetables like malanga or yucca, and the dish of the day: eg chicken/lamb/'ropa vieja'. *Drinks aren't included - I recommend the mojito!! *Vegetarian/vegan/any other dietary requirements, we can happily accommodate! Viñales Sunrises

We start from our meeting point and we move towards the Valley of Viñales, during the darkness of the night, the stars and the crowing of the roosters we begin the excursion towards the mountains, we walk approximately 50 minutes until we reach a welcoming family from the mountain where we will enjoy our first natural coffee or natural juice and then continue to the point where we can appreciate the Dawn of the Viñales Valley. Aventura a caballo en Viñales

Nos encontraremos frente a la iglesia de Plaza Viñales y nos dirigiremos a donde están los caballos. Durante la cabalgata disfrutarás de la belleza única de nuestros valles, su flora y su fauna. También visitaremos la finca de una familia Campesina, para que compartan sus experiencias acerca de los procesos de sus principales cultivos como el tabaco, el café y otros. Podran pobrar y disfrutar un tabaco puro criollo. Conocerás el típico ron de la región (La guallabita del Pinar). Continuaremos disfrutando del paisaje hasta llegar a un lago en el que podremos bañarnos y refrescarnos. Si lo deseas, podrás almorzar en un restaurante rústico de la zona, con comidas típicas de la región y una maravillosa vista a las montañas. Al regreso, disfrutaremos de una relajante cabalgata. De seguro no olvidarás este día por lo que aprendiste, disfrutaste y la huella que dejaste. Será maravilloso ya verás!. Atardecer montando a caballo, todo incluido

Andar a caballo lo ayudará a ponerse en contacto con las tradiciones y costumbres cubanas. Descubriremos los secretos del tabaco en la granja de mi familia, donde aprenderás sobre el giro del cigarro cubano hecho a mano y tendrás la oportunidad de fumar un puro acompañado de uno o dos tragos de ron; tradición del campesino! Aquí pasaremos un rato recorriendo la finca para conocer nuestros animales y por supuesto te enseñaremos los cultivos. Visitaremos la plantación de café arábico donde se muestra la producción de café completamente artesanal, probaremos la miel fresca de nuestra granja y disfrutaremos de un ron local llamado Guayabita del Pinar. Después de esto, montaremos los caballos de nuevo para visitar un mirador natural escondido entre las montañas con una hermosa vista panorámica. Atravesando pequeñas fincas particulares, podemos ver los campesinos trabajando con sus bueyes y sus métodos tradicionales de cultivo. Excursion d'une journée en petit groupe

En chemin, nous découvrirons le Mur de la Préhistoire, une fresque, de 180m de long par 120m de large, commandée par Fidel Castro en 1961. Nous continuerons jusqu’à la montagne “Los Acuáticos”, où nous descendrons du cheval pour monter un peu dans la montagne, à pied, pendant environ 1 km. Vous ferez connaissance d’une des dernières familles aux croyances peu communes concernant les propriétés thérapeutiques de l’eau. Ensuite un “Guarapo”, jus de canne à sucre, vous sera offert. Le tout avec une vue impressionnante sur la vallée. Le chemin poursuit par une magnifique grotte naturelle de 250m, où vous pourrez profiter de vous y baigner. Il sera possible d’acheter un snack, pour le repas de midi. Puis, nous visiterons une plantation de tabac, où les explications du processus de culture et la fabrication de cigares vous seront données par un paysan né dans la vallée. Un cigare vous sera offert, afin de le savourer sur place. Vous découvrirez d’où vient le café, de la pousse du caféier à la torréfaction du grain. Puis, dégustation de la Guayabita del pinar (rhum traditionnel del Pinar del Río) et du miel de la vallée. Le décor typiquement cubain de la vallée Palmarito est un site naturel classé et protégé par l’Unesco qui ne manquera pas de vous émerveiller. Vous terminerez la journée par un souper traditionnel cubain dans la maison familiale de José-Manuel et de Chrystel.
