スナッパーロックは屋久島の南部・尾之間のモッチョム岳の麓にある貸切宿です。
宿自体がグランピング施設として楽しめます。
最寄りの バス停まで徒歩６分。自然に囲まれた静かな場所です。
約32㎡ある広いリビングに３名、小さなベッドルームに１名の、最大４名が宿泊可能です。
デッキにはアウトドアテーブルやハンモックがあるので、森林浴をしながらのんびりリラックスできます。
駐車場も広いので、２〜３台駐車可能です。
敷地内には、焚き火スペースもあります。
建物は、オーナーがセルフビルドしました。建材は屋久杉や地元の杉を使用。壁には漆喰を塗り、キッチンは廃材をリサイクルして作りました。
使い捨てのアメニティは置かず、備品も必要最小限に抑えるなど、人にも環境にも優しい宿を目指しています。
屋久島には虫や野生動物がいますので、窓を開けるときは網戸をして室内に入ってこないように気をつけてください。
注意：梅雨時期の８時〜９時に年に数回「羽アリ」が島内で大発生します。灯りに集まる習性があるため、その際は窓を閉めて室内の照明等を消していただくようお声かけさせていただいています。ご了承ください。
