We'll visit a coffee plantation in Guatapé, where we learn from local farmers everything about the coffee process, from the seed to the cup, there you’ll pick coffee and will see the whole process, you will be for a while a coffee farmer. As we are in Guatapé, we have to go to the rock, get ready to walk the 708 steps to reach the top, that adorns the landscape of Antioquia and enjoy a breathtaking 360 degrees view of the dam and surrounding areas to capture unforgettable pictures. Then we go to Guatapé, where we enjoy lunch (own expense) before strolling around the most important landmarks of a town full of color, friendly people and corners with fascinating stories that we’re going to share with you, how the tradition of "zócalos" (house facades painted) started and why is important for the inhabitants; if you are a chocolate lover, there's a shop waiting for you, also you will have time to buy handicraft and souvenirs from the local stores. Located in Jardin Antioquia . Your coffee journey will start by being picked in our traditional 1954 Willys Jeep. A jeep tour will take you deep into the coffee mountain region. At an elevation of 1800 m you will arrive at Finca Mariposa. Our coffee farm has over 6000 coffee trees and overlooks one of the most spectacular mountain views Jardin has to offer. Your tour will start with an introduction and history of Colombian coffee . You will be equipped with a traditional coffee basket and head into the coffee fields to pick beans as the farmers do. See how much coffee you can pick Walk along the coffee and banana trees. Learn about the coffee tree and how it grows. Then continue into the production, washing -fermenting and drying of the beans . Climb on top of the drying flat bed and see how the beans are dried using natures sun. Finally sit relax . Enjoy a cup of Mariposa coffee with a homemade snack.

I will pick you up personally at 6am in a comfy SUV and take you to my grand parents home, views in the way to the farm are STUNNING so you will see the green Medellin country side We will get to our 100 years old house around 7am and welcome you with a fresh cup of coffee or with a orange juice from our farm trees, after this around 7:45 we go and share with the cows, you will learn how to milk a cow and also we will feed a baby calf with some milk 8:15 we will share a very traditional breakfast ALL MADE from ingredients from the farm, and believe me guys, will be the best home made breakfast you will have while you are in medellin! It is my grand ma special recipe 9:15 we get ready and head up to the mountains riding the most gentle horses so you can be sure that you will enjoy each moment of the trip and not worry about the horse’s behavior. We will get off from the horses and set up a picnic area where we will have a fresh bowl fruits from the farm while enjoying the valley views Around 11am we get back to the farm to feed the horses with carrots (they love it) and brush their hair while giving them some love in a way to say thanks for the ride.
