This delicious introduction to food and drinks from around Brazil is unlike any other. Over the course of 4-5 hours, we'll eat and drink our way across the most interesting parts of Rio that most visitors never get to see. We'll start in one of Rio's bustling street markets, where we'll taste exotic fruits and street food dishes. After that, we'll head to my favorite Brazilian-Portuguese restaurant in Lapa for a taste of old-school Brazil, where the waiters dress in white jackets, and serve the most delicious salt cod croquettes in town. From there, we'll wander into Centro, the oldest part of the city to visit a secret foodie hotspot, a hole-in-the-wall serving classic boteco snacks (think Brazilian tapas). We’ll then take a short ride to Flamengo, where we'll taste the uniquely delicious regional dishes, first from Northeastern Brazil and finally from the Amazon. Currently, Flamengo and Fluminense play at the Maracanã as their home stadium bringing up exciting matches especially when they face each other in a local derby! We will meet before the match to create an opportunity to connect the group by sharing local football stories and offering a welcome drink. This will take place at a square surrounded by bars where the fans usually gather before matches to get in the proper mood! After that first moment, we'll join the fans on the way to the main stage to get seats close to the hard supporters where they wave flags and play drums! Our goal's to make you experience it as a local!

The tour starts at the middle of the afternoon at the pier in Urca near to Bar urca. We will sail by the Fortress of São João, Fortress Laje and Fortress Santa Cruz, and close to the Island of Boa Viagem in Niterói. There will be one stop point at Adão e Eva beach or Praia Vermelha, perfect for picture taking and if you are interested to swim! Then we will pass by the Museum of Contemporary Art and sail back with the amazing view of the sunset on the horizon. There are gorgeous views of Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer throughout the ride, as they are central to the scenery of Rio's coast. The tour finishes after the sunset to make the most of this amazing view of the city. Other things to note You must bring your camera, sunscreen, swimsuit and flip flops.

Antes mostrarei como fazer uma deliciosa caipirinha de limão com todos os truques brasileiros na minha casa no alto de uma rua sem saída, um cantinho especial do Rio e ao som da nossa MPB (música popular brasileira). Subiremos as escadas para o terraço com uma vista deslumbrante da Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, Corcovado e montanhas e aproveitaremos o entardecer enquanto o nosso peixe estará curtindo no tempero. A Pedra do Telégrafo possui 354 metros de altitude e está localizada no Parque Estadual da Pedra Branca, no setor Praias Selvagens no Morro de Guaratiba. A nossa atividade terá duração de 1:10 min de Caminhada até o topo da Pedra do Telegrafo em um percurso de 1,5 km. Após seguiremos para a Prainha, uma das praias que fica no Parque de Grumari, Praias da reserva. (Somente é possível acesso a praia com reserva para o horário da manhã ) Para chegarmos até o início da trilha a nossa viagem será de 01h10 minutos de carro.

Depois seguimos velejando em direção a ilha do Mantimento onde faremos mais uma parada para banhos, mergulhos e observação de animais silvestres. In this experience, we will pick you up at your place* and take you to visit the most important spots in the city. We will start visiting Christ the Redeemer Statue first thing, so we can avoid lines and get the best shots for your photos**; next, the neighborhood of Santa Teresa, an artistic zone with it's exclusive tram and then the Selarón Staircase, one of the most famous touristic spots of Rio. From there we'll go to the Metropolitan Cathedral, a unique bulding in the Center of Rio. Afterwards, we visit the Tijuca Forest, with waterfalls and wild animals and the neighborhood of São Conrado, where we can see the hang gliders landing on the beach. We stop for lunch*** right after that and by the end you have two options: we can either take you back home or to the Sugar Loaf, where you can take a cable car to the top of this magnific hill. During the whole time, we'll be telling you all about the places we'll be visiting and will anwser all your question. *Pick up at some areas of the south zone of Rio. Trilha Dois Irmãos - Brings you to arguably the best view in Rio! An experience for the more adventurous, going up the Favela via Moto Taxi and then hiking up the trail, passing through a territory unknown (Favela Vidigal). The view at the top stretches 365 degrees around the city. You'll see the Christ statue, Lagoa, Sugar Loaf, Ilhas Cagarras, Niterói and the Bay of Rio which are all visible at the peak. There isn't another place in the city of Rio besides Pedra da Gávea that has this unique view! Come with Experience Rio, why? 1. It's always better to have a local guide when entering a Favela. 2. From here, we visit the ecological park, an oasis within the Favela. Built mainly from recycled materials with some truly special views of the south zone! Afterward, we will walk throughout the alleys of (25/14) called "Becos," where you will walk these surrounding areas home to a majority of locals. Meet and converse with residents and have the chance to better understand their lifestyle and the Favela. This part is extremely important and humbling as it's something you couldn't do without a guide. People who usually visit the Favela just come for views and the clubs at the top. (even with a guide). The clubs are EXPENSIVE and INACCESSIBLE for those who live here. So why even visit these places? Many residents work hard on the beaches and streets. Cleaning the city and recycling. In restaurants as cooks and bartenders. Even drivers and couriers. Furthermore, a lot of culture, i.e., Sambas and choreography of funk to a lot of Art and Food are from the communities of Rio!

We will go watch a game in Maracana at category A 1 seats , we can go by public transportation with the people or by car . I will explain all the story of the stadium and about the clubs who will play and i can explain the tatics and the ways of the game . The tour starts at the middle of the afternoon at the pier in Urca near to Bar urca. We will sail by the Fortress of São João, Fortress Laje and Fortress Santa Cruz, and close to the Island of Boa Viagem in Niterói. There will be one stop point at Adão e Eva beach or Praia Vermelha, perfect for picture taking and if you are interested to swim! Then we will pass by the Museum of Contemporary Art and sail back with the amazing view of the sunset on the horizon. There are gorgeous views of Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer throughout the ride, as they are central to the scenery of Rio's coast. Faremos uma aula de culinária onde você aprenderá a fazer uma moqueca de peixe baiana - prato típico brasileiro que é peixe com molho e utilizaremos azeite de dendê, pimentão, coentro, pimenta e outros ingredientes exóticos da culinária brasileira. Antes mostrarei como fazer uma deliciosa caipirinha de limão com todos os truques brasileiros na minha casa no alto de uma rua sem saída, um cantinho especial do Rio e ao som da nossa MPB (música popular brasileira). Subiremos as escadas para o terraço com uma vista deslumbrante da Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, Corcovado e montanhas e aproveitaremos o entardecer enquanto o nosso peixe estará curtindo no tempero. Descendo para a cozinha, faremos a moqueca de peixe e uma farofa (comida tradicional brasileira de origem indígena feita com farinha de mandioca). O Brasil é um país multifacetado assim como sua culinária que é cheia de sabores, cores e odores. Quando estiver pronta, jantaremos todos na sala de jantar com vinho branco ou rosé da América do Sul. Pegaremos você em qualquer lugar da zona sul do RJ. Vamos passear pelas montanhas, curtindo lindas paisagens da maior floresta tropical urbana do mundo. After 60 minutes of an amusing Samba lesson we'll head all together towards a nice Samba party (Mondays: street party / outdoors; Thursdays and Fridays: Samba night club / indoors) to enjoy some caipirinhas, live music and practice our new moves! It's your chance to live Samba from the inside and enjoy it like the locals do! Tip: after doing the experience (or while we take some caipirinhas at the club) ask me about my personal lists of suggestions for restaurants, other spots to visit in Rio and brazilian music artists of various genres).
