Spirits - The Cocktail And Ghost Crawl
The advantage to having done more pub crawls than anyone else in the city, is that I have the widest range of classic bars, and the best bartenders in the city, at my disposal. These people are my friends. New Orleans is a cocktail town, with reason. This is an evening of classic concoctions, ghost stories, city history, drinking tales, and voodoo. I'll tie all of these points together into a cohesive experience of chills, laughs, and must-have drink suggestions. This is still well-researched history, but I'm here to make it fun. Let me save you from the dull recitation of New Orleans' bullet points - I put on a show. This is storytelling, and through these stories, I will help you connect with one of the most amazing cities on the planet. I will balance the tour locations based on group interest. This is an introduction to some of the important signature drinks of New Orleans. However, this is definitely unpretentious. You are not required to buy anything, drink what you wish. In between bars, we will visit some historical, and haunted locations, while I weave all the content into a well-rounded evening. This is perfect for groups with a wide range of interests...except vampire stories, I don't do vampire stories, those are fabrications. Also,it is logistically easier to let you buy your own drinks, I don't provide them. Group sizes are small under 16, and not city law 28.

Ancient culinary techniques, fresh ingredients, tortillas made from scratch, flavors of our traditional Mexico, everything is set and carefully curated for a cultural and gastronomical immersion to the deepest traditions and roots of our Mesoamerican civilizations. In a beautiful Mexican-style house, surrounded by gardens, our Culinary Experience starts off with a brief, yet quite informative, introduction to the essential flavors and ingredients of Mexican cuisine We will also do a mezcal tasting so you can learn how to identify a good one! Then, moving on to the unique experience of preparing an authentic Mexican meal from scratch! We try to always use traditional utensils, like metate and molcajete, to have a real cooking experience. Many of the dishes you will learn and help cook come from my own family’s cookbook. By the end of the class, we sit down in one table to share the food and the experience itself! This all happens in an ambiance full of joy, music and laughter, recreating the sense of fellowship and warmth of cooking at home with friends.
Cigar rolling and pairing Masterclass
This experience focuses on the difficult process of making a cigar. From the hand of an experienced cigar roller we will learn to make an examplar, we will explain all the specificities that accompany the process of making this product, from the time it is grown, until it reaches your hands. This will be the perfect time for our CIGAR CHALLENGE, after which we will reward the best cigar roller of the experience. After choosing our winner (special ceremony included), we will go on to what we consider to be an authentic ritual: the smoking of the habano, action that we will combine with other delights, giving way to an excellent pairing among cigars, rum and coffee. And then, SURPRISE, a second contest!! We will be competing among each other to select the person who manages to keep the longest cigar ash, and the one who best performs some other tricks we will be teaching you. This is called: LONG ASH CONTEST. At the end of the experience more gifts will come, and that is because we do not want you to leave without taking with you souvenirs related to this experience, so you will be bringing home with you some amazing memories but also little things that will forever remind you of Cuba. IMPORTANT NOTE: Our schedule varies according to your needs and preferences. We can have our tour during the morning , the afternoon or at night.

Journey into a true Hidden Mayan Cenote
After a journey of more than 8km in the middle of the jungle, we will immerse ourselves in a cave and underground river system for a guided exploration, crossing the most surreal rock formations. Helmets well screwed on the head, and water shoes on, we will let our lights pierce the darkness and silence to make way for a world as ancient as magical. In the last part, we will have the opportunity to swim, relax and snorkel in a fantastic and out of this world natural pool.   We will recover from our emotions and share around a meal composed of local specialties cooked in the jungle on a fire pit. Before taking the road towards the city, towards its lights and its incessant noise, a quick siesta in a hammock will mark the end of our experience in the Jungle of the Yucatán peninsula and the secret of its underground world. Other important  thing to know : this activity is NOT affected by rain or general bad weather !!

UNDERSTAND CUBA TODAY WITH A SOCIOLOGIST
**If you cannot book from Cuba, please send me a private message. You can still do our tour. Thank you! - Is Cuba a socialist country? - How do free educational and health care systems really work in our country? - How can we buy basic items in a currency we are not paid? - How does the black market work in Cuba? Write down your questions, we will always give you honest answers. We invite you to understand Cuba once and for all and experience what we experience every day, how our society has changed between generations since the Revolution, let’s talk about our economic and social struggles and how we value being Cubans living on this island, despite our difficulties. We will take you away from tourist places for a while so you can feel part of our people, and understand our daily lives and our mindset. First, we will be walking around Old Havana residential part. We will use local markets, pharmacies, and stores to explain to you the difference between two coexisting systems (private and government-owned). We will also visit a government store (what we call “bodegas”) to learn about the ration food system. Is it free? Is it enough? We will learn about “the black market” and also what a foreign currency store is, a place where almost all Cubans must buy most of their supplies every month. Is it worthwhile to live in Cuba nowadays? Discover it by yourself!

After a time of walk and stories inside old town, we'll jump into the modern side of the city, shooting in a convertible car by the sea and feeling the vibes of the Cuban people. Then we'll go to my favorite bar, where we'll enjoy a great view of the city, while we have a drink and I share with you what life is like for a young Cuban photographer in Havana. Other things to note: Ig to see more of our work: @cubansoulpics No extra payment in cash is needed once you book the experience. Date not listed? Send us a message!
Are you interested in learning about the legacy of our Africans ancestor in the Cuban Culture? Are you ready to witness its influence in the daily life of the Cuban people? Then this experience is a MUST for you! We will meet at Beyond Roots headquarter in Old Havana to share a cup of coffee and get to know each other. Then we´ll travel to the town of Guanabacoa, the cradle of Afro-Cuban culture in Havana. Once there we´ll have a firsthand contact with the Cuban life and our practices by meeting a “Babalawo”--the highest priest of Santeria. He will cleanse us at his altar and explain us about the main Afro-Cuban Religions and how he looks into people’s future and gives advices . We´ll enjoy typical Afro-Cuban food and relax under the shadow of a sacred Ceiba tree listening to emblematic music played by members of the community and enjoy a dance performance while we taste a cup of Aguardiente, the beverage used in all Afro-Cuban religious practices. After that we´ll go back to Beyond Roots store, the first and only Afro style shop in Cuba, having the opportunity to visit an space dedicated to highlighting the Afro identity in the island. You will come as a guest but you will leave being part of the community.
Experience my authentic Viñales
I'm Changa! Omar’s brother and your guide! I invite you to our corner of the world. We'll meet me at the entrance to the National Park, mount my horses (don't worry - they're the best in the valley, I treat them like family and will show you what to do), and ride through the scenic Valley Palmarito for half an hour to reach the tobacco farm. We'll spend some time here; we'll show you around the crops and meet our animals, before heading inside the drying barn where you'll be shown how we roll the world famous cigars and how to smoke them - naturally with a swig or two of rum for the full Cuban authenticity! In the farm we'll also try a fresh honey & coffee that we process here in Viñales, and the best - try the local rum that is made especially here in the region of Pinar. We invite you to taste them all (but don't get too full, there's food to come!) An al-fresco farm-to-fork meal will be served. Any dietary requirements can be catered for, and an array of fresh juices, coconuts and cocktails can be purchased if you wish. After this, it’s time to hop back on your horse again to visit a hidden cave (PLEASE NOTE: this activity is weather dependent & will be decided by the guide on the day of your experience). Bring swimwear if you're feeling adventurous! We ride our noble steeds to where we started, enjoying the endless views and interesting routes.
