Pine Lake Getaway: Little Red House in the Woods

Get away from it all with a visit to the Little Red House in the Woods. Located on the property of a church camp, the Little Red House borders Pine Lake State Park and has direct trail access to the 3-mile trek around the lower lake. Iowa River access is also nearby. Guests have access to the complete upper level, lightning fast WiFi and gear to enjoy the great outdoors, like snowshoes, kayaks or hammocks, is available upon request.

Cabin Cove By the River

Take a step back in time when you enter our little log cabin by the river. Built in 1949, this cabin is a replica of the log cabins built by the gold seekers of Alaska. Though modern in most aspects we have retained the native charm of unfinished wood, rough, hand-hewn logs and naked beams. The inspiration for the cabin was found by my great grandfather who spent time in Alaska working on the Alcan highway.
