You'll prepare 4 different Cretan family’s recipes in an outdoor cooking space. You'll cook with pure and natural ingredients from our farm. You'll learn cooking techniques from mama Stella, our specialist in traditional Cretan cuisine. All the equipment and your personal apron will be provided by us. It's a 100% hands-on cooking experience! Local homemade refreshments and water will provided, too. In the end of the cooking experience, you will enjoy your own creations with some of local wine. Moreover, the leftovers will be packed and you can take them with you! The event will last approximately 3.5 hours and it will take place in our farm. We will cook in an open cooking space between two big olive trees, under a wooden roof! So, no worries at all about the sun. Let's create together our own handmade traditional Cretan soap that will protect us from the CORONA virus and many other pathogenic microorganisms, without using harmful chemicals! Come with me to travel back to the time when Cretan people used to make their own Traditional Homemade Cretan Soap, using only Extra Virgin Olive Oil! Together we can make our own traditional soaps, using the recipe that my grandmother taught me, as she also learned from her mother. With my knowledge as a biochemist, we can try to develop these recipes to produce a better product, based on your needs! We will start from scratch, giving to our soap the features we will choose together, such as perfume, color or shape. The olive oil we will use is collected and prepared by me and my family without any use of insecticides and other chemical preparations! Naturally, at the end you will take the soap - you will have made with your own hands - that will be ready the next day, as a souvenir to remember this unique experience as you take your shower!!! In addition, you can take the formulation where every step is recorded all the way, if you wish to make your own soap at your place.! Après une visite guidée de l’atelier, je vais vous présenter les différents processus qui va subir la terre pour passer, d’une masse sans forme à un objet utile. Ensuite, je vais vous montrer les différentes techniques qui vont vous permettre de façonner votre objet en céramique, à la main ou à l’aide du tour. Une fois vos creations réaliser il faut attendre 3-4 jours pour qu’elles puissent être cuites. Cela depend de la pièce que vous allez créer ainsi que de la météo. Ensuite vous pouvez soit venir la chercher, soit l’émailler à la couleur de votre choix. Dans ce cas, vous devez attendre encore 2 jours pour la deuxième cuisson. Notez que la deuxième cuisson n’est pas incluse dans le prix. L’objet que vous allez réaliser vous pouvez venir le chercher, une fois cuit à l’atelier. Sarakina Gorge, hiking and river trekking! A canyon full of ponds and only some climbing points, make this experience an ideal option for an adventure! What is really impressive is the large quantity of water almost all year round, that forms very beautiful waterfalls and ponds, ideal for swimming, even in summer. In winter, it is impossible to cross the gorge without getting wet. We start our adventure just 5 minutes after Mythoi village where we meet the gorge entrance. It takes about 1 to 1,5 hours to walk and climb up; in some parts you have to walk through the water, climb over rocks, or use the ropes that they put there to pull yourself up. During the trekking, we will have plenty of time for swimming under the freezing waterfalls wich makes it ideal for summer period! Its length reaches only 1.5km, but during this short course the visitor will meet an amazing wonder of the Cretan nature, a natural sculpture formed by water in millions of years. Sarakina has imposing walls reaching 150m height while Its width ranges from 3 to 10 meters, with only a few points exceeding that. The gorge area is also ideal for bird watching since there are plenty of species living and building their nests on the gorge's walls. every day we organize safari with quad . Our Adventure Starts from the small village of Karteros, where we will have a 25 minute breafing on safety and instructions on operating ATVs. Then we will ride up the mountains of Karteros and visit the uncharted Labyrinth cave, (Quad) from where we will continue our way past Prasa village to Skalani, riding through vineyards and olive groves. Our next stop will be in the forest near the church of St.Irene, where we will visit the old church and enjoy the countryside. We will continue to the Mt. Juktas Ecological Park in Archanes, an extrodinary archeological site of Fourni where we will see the Municipal Contemporary Theater and enjoy the panoramic views. Let's drift through this alien scenery of landscape, walking on an ancient trail that connects the small fishing village of Agios Ioannis to Koudoumas monastery in a 1:30 hours hike by the sea. The trail offers a variety of emotions to visitors since we come along to plenty of remoted beaches with turquoise waters, caves, saltpans,a pine forests and a shipwreck! All of that under the accompaniment of sheeps all around and vultures flying over us! After we reach the impressive monastery, we can recharge our batteries on the beach, have a traditional greek coffee and pay a visit to the monastery interior place before our hike back. The way back should not be leaving you blue! Taking under account that we are consistent with our time schedule, we enjoy a visit to Kapetaniana village, for a highlight panoramic view! The goal of the excursion is to explore the river with the largest amount of water in the whole island of Crete, to discover its wetland with dozens of turtles, numerous fish and birds that inhabit this strange river, whose water is sweet in winter and brackish in summer. In the past, water mills used to operate here to grind the local grain. The mystery of its waters is that scientists are still not sure of their origin. We start the excursion at the beach of Ammoudara and head upstream southwest towards the source of the river. The waters of the river are quite deep and crystal clear and to the right and left are reeds and a variety of trees and plants, including clusters of the characteristic Cretan palm (Phoenix theophrasti), which is found mainly in Crete. At the background of the river, the top of the 800 m Stroumboulas mountain can be seen, named after the famous Sicilian volcano Stromboli, as well as the Almyros gorge. We paddle through the river for about 1500 meters and then return to the beach of Ammoudara, where we will taste together the local Cretan delicacies with local wine.

We offer cooking lessons in Krousonas village. Super family friendly! The programme last at least 4 hours. Firstly we will welcome you with some cretan delights and refreshments . We will discuss the menu and you can choose from the season options(vegan or not) what would you like to cook. Secondly we will visit the farm , we will feed the goats and sheeps and if its summer probably you can also milk the goats! In continue when you choose menu (vegan or not) we go to gather our organic vegetables from our orchard, you wiil have time to explore nature, breath fresh air, learn important information about the plant and of course live the experience cutting the fresh vegetables and fruit. When we collect our vegetables , we learn how we use every ingredient in our kitchen, how does it help our health, about the appropriate quantities we use and we start to how prepare our meal and how we cook.
