You will also see our captive breeding program for the endangered Banggai cardinalfish. Then we will have lunch - ‘Catch of the day’ and vegetables collected from our organic community garden. Finally, you will help to make a structure and planting corals. In the past, the coral reefs of north Bali have suffered from severe destructive fishing. With the help of the local community, the Centre is trying to restore the reef to create more habitats for fish and other creatures. Our tour will begin on the farm with a welcome drink. While relaxing in a shaded part of the farm, I will present our community movement and teach you about how we grow our organic produce. After enjoying the welcome drink, we will walk along the community farm and learn about organic farming and the unique UNESCO- protected Subak System in Bali. During the farm tour, we will pick the ingredients that we are going to use during the cooking class for a true farm to table cooking experience.
