Waterfalls Waterfalls Waterfalls
After picking you up at your downtown core Toronto Airbnb, or other convenient location, we will start your adventure to Niagara Falls. Along the way we will stop at several picturesque waterfalls, an iconic Canadian cafe chain and an award winning winery.
During short walks along tee lined paths at these smaller falls, you’ll learn about the geology of the area followed by a stop at a coffee shop chain that has become part of the Canadian identity. Then, we’ll hop in the car and continue to Niagara's wine region, where we will stop for a tasting (including ICE wine) at one of Niagara Regions most award winning wineries.
After a delicious sit down lunch, we’ll go to the world-famous Niagara Falls where you will bathe in the mist from the Falls as we walk along the rim of the Niagara Gorge. We will have more than enough time for guests to take the optional, self led, Niagara Boat Cruise.
Following our visit to the upper edge of the mighty Horseshoe Falls we will return direct to Toronto.

History in Motion - Waterfront West
***NOTE: SOCIAL DISTANCING IS EASIER ON A BICYCLE.***
We wipe down all equipment before and after our trips, and provide you with a clean mask if you need one.
It's cooler by the lake! This is Toronto's most unique bicycle tour experience: we travel west along the Waterfront Trail, stopping at key locations [e.g. Ireland Park, Coronation Park, Sunnyside pool and High Park] which serve as important markers of Toronto's history as a city. No standard tours make stops at these places, so it will be a unique experience, whether for Torontonians or for tourists.
I'll take you on a relaxing and refreshing trip west along the lake, stopping at little known historical sites in the city. Cycling around the city is a very healthy and original way of getting to know local sights. You'll learn about Toronto's history through an interactive experience, including multimedia materials and trivia. Among other landmarks, you will learn about:
- Indigenous history, including how Toronto got its name;
- Toronto's waterfront and railway legacy;
- The Island Airport;
- The War of 1812;
- Sunnyside Amusement Park;
- High Park;
- The Humber River
We will end up right where we started, so it'll be easy to carry on the rest of your journey in Toronto.
Other things to note:
It will be easy riding on flat terrain. You will see a lot of outstanding vistas.
R&B Concert on a Pirate Ship
We will be enjoying the soulful vocals of the city’s best rising R&B artists under the summer sky. The boat is an old pirate ship and will be traveling across the Toronto skyline. Guests will experience live R&B in an unforgettable way.
Other things to note:
We can't accommodate late guests. No refunds will be made to late guests who could not make the show.
Guests should arrive 15-20 minutes early.
Beers and wine are available for purchase.
No food is available for purchase, or allowed onboard.
QTPOC & LBGTQIA friendly.

Nature Zen Experience
Shinrin Yoku is the Japanese art of Forest Bathing/therapy. Experience the sights, tastes, smells and sounds of the beauty of the Greater Toronto area's treasury of nature. Your host Krista will manifest your connection with the forest, yourself and others and forage plants for your tea ceremony, as well as help inspire your creative design of the zen garden you make for home. Forest bathing is different from hiking or other forms of recreation in nature in that it occurs over short distances very slowly, allowing participants to absorb the healing properties of the forest while shedding oneself of the stresses of the hectic pace of the tamed world. Come and be one of the first to discover the more-than-human world in a way never before experienced.
Other things to note
Dress for comfort/weather; in winter layers, hats, mitts/boots recommended. In summer sunscreen, hat, light clothing. Always: flat footwear, water, snacks, camera. You must have own way to get there.
Niagara River Bike Tour
I lead guided cycling tours showcasing gems along the Niagara River. Each tour is 2.5 hours long and starts at Queenston Heights. It can go as far South as Rosberg Family Park in Niagara Falls, then finish back where we started, for a total of 18km. Unfortunately I cannot help you with bicycle rentals right now.
The tour follows the Niagara River with stops at scenic outlooks where I talk about history, natural diversity, and points of interest related to Niagara. Questions are super welcome! The stops include Brock's Monument, the Power Stations, the Floral Clock, Niagara Glen Nature Reserve, the whirlpool, and the railway bridge. Roughly halfway through the tour we’ll have a longer break where I will provide a light snack.
I am fluent in Dutch, Spanish, and English and love getting to know others. I love learning and have put a lot of work into researching for this tour and I think this exciting itinerary is sure to stimulate the curiosity of participants, so I hope you will join us!

Mushroom & Wild Edibles Hike
Our Mushroom Workshop takes place during a rejuvenating 4 hour nature hike on the trails of a 400 acre conservatory gem with flora ranging from old-growth forest to seasonal food plants. We will uncover new worlds of uncultivable, wild edible plants in their natural forest state. We seek a multitude of delicious edibles (when in season) such as Yellow Chanterelles, Black Trumpet and Cinnabar Chanterelles, Hedgehogs, Boletes, Oysters and my personal favorite - Lobster Mushrooms. Growth is weather and seasonal dependent. You will learn to identify these and other seasonal edibles such as specific growth edible mushrooms, and will be introduced to spore printing. In the spirit of respect for the bio-system we will explore, you will be introduced to ethical harvesting, long term sustainability and propagation for future generations.

Intro to Pottery wheel
With guided, professional instruction, you'll have a fun and creative time making an item out of clay on a pottery wheel. I will show you how to work with the clay, get it ready for the wheel, center it, and eventually start shaping. Usually students can make either a small bowl, plate, mug or vase on their first try. You will get up to 30 minutes of time on the wheel which is plenty to create one item, and then you can add accents to your piece i.e. handle and you'll get to handbuild for the remainder of the time (add accents to your piece). You can take the pottery home with you the same day you make them, or—if you'd like—I can fire your work, glaze it, and ship it to you for a small fee. I also offer other experiences: canvas painting, glass fusing, hand building with clay, mosaics, glow in the dark painting, pottery painting, silkscreening. ***Drop me a note if you'd like alternate time for your appointment.****
Toronto's Greatest Hits - A Guided Walking Tour
Step by Step tour guides are welcoming and friendly and we are so excited to share our city with you. Toronto’s Greatest Hits Walking Tour starts in the very heart of downtown Toronto, Yonge and Dundas Square and ends at St Lawrence Market (which was once named the best food market in the world by National Geographic)! The tour will start downtown and will take us through the Yonge-Bay Corridor, Financial district, and focus heavily on the Old Town and the Market District. NOTE: It does not end in the same place it begins. There's a ten minute bathroom/snack break halfway through. Guests should be able to comfortably walk 4km (2.5 miles).
Our small groups (10-12 people) make for an intimate and inviting experience. We will take you through the streets and will stop outside the most iconic spots such as: The Eaton Center, Old City Hall, Nathan Phillips Square, Osgoode Hall, TD Square, Brookfield Place, The Gooderham Flatiron Building, St. James Cathedral, The Oldest Post Office and St. Lawrence Market. The majority of the tour is completely outdoors with the exception of the Oldest Post Office so please dress weather-appropriate.
The tour will focus heavily on the history of the buildings we visit including accounts about some of the architects, founders, or influential people who somehow shaped what you see!
