Ride the Outback, departing from Ironbark House Dimbulah, begins with my guests meeting myself and my 4 horses Angel, China, Misfit and Saxon, 3 of whom have been used for a variety of equestrian events including dressage, jumping, horse-sports, barrel racing and cattle work, but are also fantastic out on tracks as mobile wildlife and nature viewing vehicles!
Once mounting the horses you will be given some basic instruction and evaluation of your skills before we head out around our 1345 acre cattle and wildlife property for a 2 hour ride. We will leave the stables and head out through forested grazing country hoping to check out some of our wildlife including our colony of Mareeba rock wallabies, roos, wallaroos, wedge-tailed eagles, water-birds around one of our 6 dams and cattle as this is a working property.
Other things to note:
Most of the ride will be at a walk, with some trotting for experienced riders.
Please contact me before booking the ride as there may be some restrictions as to whether the experience will be suitable for you. There is a weight limit for riders of 90kgs.
We offer a number of different riding options and are flexible with our start and duration times. Please check out my other Experiences if you would like to do a longer or shorter ride. We also offer lessons and have over-night accommodation at Ironbark House Dimbulah.
