Noosa Surf Coach and Guide
Please inquire before booking
My goal is for you to have an excellent surfing experience, whether it's your first time surfing or you are trying to advance your skills.
We will most likely meet at Noosa River Mouth. Alternately, I will contact you with the location that will be best on that day. From there we will collect the surfboards I provide for you and walk to the surf location that I believe will be best suited to your ability and the conditions on the day. Noosa has multiple bays offering a very diverse group of waves. Each wave breaks differently. There are also many other great surfing locations on the Sunshine Coast if you are interested.
For the first 10- 30 minutes we’ll be training on the beach, depending on your ability. Making sure that you have the correct technique and body position on the surfboard before trying in the water. The next hour will be in the water, catching waves and getting feedback with my assistance.
This experience is unique as we can change location to find the best waves for you. Small group sizes make you get much more out of the session. I can focus just on you, giving consistent, constructive feedback that adheres to your specific needs.
Other things to note:
You must know how to swim

Noosa Everglades Kayak, an award-winning nature tour
2022 Winner of Australia's Most Magical Experience:
We meet 5 mins from Noosa Junction and away from the crowds and hustle of Noosa. You'll suddenly find yourself at the southern tip of Noosa's Everglade system
Once we've got you comfortable in the kayaks, we'll launch and start our adventure into the calm waters of the creeks and branching waterways. As you paddle, look to the skies for chances to see the local Sea Eagles, Ospreys & Kites climbing the thermals whilst they hunt for their lunch.
As the only tour group within this section of Noosa's Everglades we get a peaceful and calm experience. We venture into hidden areas to savour the tranquility of being on calm water. We keep your enjoyment high by responding to the prevailing weather and paddling to protected areas away from strong winds. We'll play games, quizzes and spend time trying to spot all the local marine life including Estuary Stingrays and Leopard Whiprays.
It's a calming trip as you listen to nature and learn a little about the Kabi Kabi, natural ecosystems and Noosa's role in caring for this region.
The whole experience lasts around 2hours.
You'll have a lovely time but expect to get wet and be in the sun for a few hours. We recommend wearing your beach attire (sun safe & water safe)

Moving meditation Energy practice
We will have a beautiful yin and melodic led Chi Gung practice melting into our own version of movement at the end. Practicing flow from our internal guidance and power systems while integrating breath. It’s a mind body soul connection.
Chi gung (Qigong) is a moving meditation practice that leads to getting the mind body and breath to work together to achieve coherence. A common after glow is a tremendous sense of peace and oneness.
By slowing the practice with the breath and connecting with the aid of my extra helpful tools which are essential oils if you like, we will take a journey within which always leaves you humbled, grounded and centred.
The music I have during the practice also takes us deeper with sound healing.
Bring your yoga mat and water bottle
We will be in partial sun on grass, in amongst the trees in the Bangalow Hinterland
It’s really special country out here, with the addition of bird song
Welcome to your inner world
Rainforest and Wildlife Night Tour
Your Night Time adventure starts with pickup from your Airbnb accommodation and takes you off on an adventure to find wildlife in it’s natural habitat. Most of it doesn’t come out until after sunset so we stay out after dark to see it!
We start around 1:30pm so you can have a relaxed morning and you will be back around 9:30-10:00pm. Afternoon tea and dinner will be provided so no need to worry about food.
We get to see some very rare animals, like Platypus and Tree Kangaroos, and the region we visit on the Atherton Tablelands is a beautiful place. It is close to Cairns so drive times are short. We visit several areas too so you get to see different places.
We do spend a few hours in the afternoon to see the Rainforest but it really comes to life when the sun goes down.
Being in the forest at night is an experience you will never forget. It is magical to hear and feel and see what it is like to be in there after dark. I use special lights so we can all see what’s around us and provide you with binoculars so you can get a really good view of the animals.
You will come away from this with a whole new understanding of Australia’s special environments and it’s wonderful wildlife.
Other things to note
Bugs and mosquitos are not usually a problem. If the weather is wet I provide umbrellas. There is no need for you to have flashlights or torches. We are not hiking so just comfortable shoes are needed
Learn to Surf Bribie Island
What we’ll do
The start of each lessons begins with issuing equipment to each surfer, that will suit conditions and ability. We use soft-top surfboards, and issue a sun shirt (Rash shirt) to all students.
We include a 10-15 minute theory on the beach to ensure an understanding of safety in Beach and wave conditions, board management skills and demonstrating and monitoring the technical skills required to catch a wave.
We enter the water with all students and stay in close proximity to ensure catching as many waves as possible. Students stay within close proximity to the waters edge, catching ‘broken waves’
Our lessons conclude with a debrief and discussion on further surfing opportunities.
Bringing over 40 years or surfing experience, local knowledge and 10 years of professional coaching experience, we will ensure you enjoy the experience of a lifetime!
We hold current water safety, first aid and CPR accreditation with Surfing Australia.
