Don't let the name fool you! Enjoy sunsets like this in a heated alcove at the excellent Porthmeor Beach Cafe. The views and food are excellent, expect tapas and mediterranean inspired dishes created with finesse. The only shame is it isn’t open all year round.

Perched on the harbour front the second venture of the renowned Porthminster Beach Cafe team is a rather good one. Smaller plates but the quality, creativeness and presentation of the food is excellent. Definitely a top 5.

Pick your fish or meat from the counter, choose how you would like it cooked, pick a side and you are good to go. We love the ability to customise our meal and know that parents with picky eaters in the family will too.

Award winning American style food. A separate Children’s menu is available with colouring and games to keep them occupied whilst you relax and watch the world go by on the harbour. TIP: Avoid on Friday and Saturday nights after 8pm as it transforms into more of a club vibe.

The end of the UK is only a 25 minute drive from The Sands and you’ll find plenty to keep the family entertained. The kids will love the Shaun the Sheep Experience and Arthur’s Quest and whilst you’re there you can get a photo by the iconic sign to keep for years to come.

Just a 2 minute walk from our apartments is the Carbis Bay branch train line. One of the most beautiful train lines in the UK, it runs from St Erth to St Ives across the coast edge.
