The Famous Ha Giang Loop Motorbike Adventure
Pre-departure day: If you're traveling from other locations such as Cao Bang, Sapa, or Ha Long, we kindly ask that you arrive one day prior to the scheduled departure on Day 1. In addition, if you plan to travel by motorbike, we would appreciate it if you could allocate the morning of Day 1 to complete certain procedures before meeting the group and commencing the journey after lunch. Day 1: Our van will collect you between 6.15-6.45 am and convey you to Ha Giang where you'll meet the team and indulge in a delicious lunch before embarking on your motorbike adventure. However, if you prefer to ride a motorbike, we'll have our guide meet you at your hotel in Ha Giang around 9.00 am. After that, we'll take you to our office, where we'll conduct indispensable safety procedures. Following that, we'll brief you comprehensively about traffic regulations in Vietnam and practice some fundamental biking skills on roads around Ha Giang. This session aims to get you ready for the journey ahead. Our guide will then assess your ability and recommend whether you should use an automatic, semi-automatic, or avoid riding altogether for your safety. Once the session is over, we'll serve lunch at approximately 12.30 pm, followed by a trip briefing run by our guide. You'll then set off for our Dao homestay in Nam Dam, Quang Ba District, enjoying breathtaking views of valleys and villages en route. We'll pause several times during the journey for rest and photo opportunities, including a stunning sunset view from the top of Lung Khuy Cave. Finally, you'll reach the homestay, check-in, and enjoy a sumptuous dinner before spending the night nestled in the peaceful mountainous core of Nam Dam Village. Day 2: After enjoying breakfast at our homestay, we'll get the bikes ready and embark on the next phase of our adventure. Our journey today will take us to a charming village called Lung Tam, known for its production of high-quality hemp linen. Here, you'll witness the entire linen-making process from start to finish and even try your hand at rolling out the cloth. You'll be taken aback by the degree of balance and strength it demands! Next, after crossing a mountain via a shortcut, we'll arrive in Yen Minh for lunch. From there, we'll head towards the border between Vietnam and China, covering the much-loved 50km stretch along the way. While en route, we'll pause at the house of the Hmong Opium King, where you'll acquire an insight into the life of the most affluent man in the region. We'll also visit the Extreme North Point, where you might catch a peek of some Chinese towns on the other side if it's a clear day. Upon arriving at Dong Van, we'll check-in at our hotel. Dinner will once again feature plenty of happy water for those who wish to partake and are of legal drinking age. We strongly advise you to schedule your trip to pass through Dong Van on Sunday since this is when the villagers hold their weekly highland market. This market provides locals with an opportunity to trade goods and livestock while also serving as a weekly social gathering that eagerly awaits. Day 3: After breakfast, we'll set off to explore the most serene areas of the region. Our destination for today is Ma Pi Leng, considered to be Vietnam's most picturesque pass. During our 7km hike here, you'll have plenty of opportunities to capture stunning photos. Later on, we'll cruise through Tu San Abyss Alley before pausing for lunch at Meo Vac. Our journey continues to Du Gia, where we'll spend the night. Along the way, we'll stop for coffee in Mau Due, which marks the beginning of "the road of children." You'll witness many minority children playing by the roadside while their parents work alongside rocks. In Du Gia, weather permitting, you can indulge in a refreshing swim in a secluded waterfall before settling down for the evening in this charming little village. Day 4: You're welcome to take your time in the morning, relishing the stunning mountainside scenery, indulging in a refreshing dip in the nearby waterfall, or taking photographs of the locals. After our farewell lunch, we'll head back to Ha Giang and arrive in the city by 4 pm. Our van will drop you off in the heart of Hanoi around 10.30 pm (Airport drop-off is around 10 pm). During the ride, we'll make a dinner stop around 7 pm.
