We’ll start out your Nashville Line Dancing experience with a beginner level lesson that will get your blood pumping on the dance floor. Then we will teach you an intermediate level line dance to challenge your dancing skills. We always try to move at the group’s pace. The last 15-20 minutes we review what you have learned and take a video for you to have as a Nashville Keepsake. We send you the video within two weeks of your class. Other things to note: If our class is fully booked on AirBNB, do not hesitate to reach out. We would love to accommodate your group! We (Tessa & Dustin) started teaching Line Dancing in Nashville several years ago. At that time - it was just us! Now, we have an incredible team of instructors that teach out of two locations downtown almost every day! We recommend you wear boots with leather soles (slick bottoms) if you have them as they are the best for line dancing; however, we can make any shoes work. You might break a sweat! Line dancing is the most fun workout you will ever do! We do not expect anyone to get the dance perfect! The only expectation is to have a good time! Feel free to add your own flare! In this beginner Silversmithing class, you will pick out your own stone and create the setting and shank. We'll get familiar with the torch, jeweler's saw, flex shaft drill, anvil & bench pin. We'll solder the bezel, cut out the setting and file it flat. Then we create your ring shank according to your own size and add them together. We'll finish your ring by setting the stone and polishing the piece. All finished work is sterling silver and you get to go home with a brand new ring. Patience is required. No experience necessary. *Other things to note* Please dress for the occasion! We'll be sawing metal and using messy materials. Don't wear anything dangly and please have closed toe shoes on. This activity is hands on and messy! Also to note: long fingernails could make this a little harder, but doable! *there are good dogs on site.* **PLEASE NOTE: I don't have the space for more than two people at a time for this experience, this is my home studio and it's pretty small. Also PLEASEEEEE NO ON LOOKERS- whomever has paid for the experience, can arrive. That goes for parents as well.**

During the first ten minutes, relax as I describe our mission and why I am so passionate about the work we are doing. Then, I will spend five to ten minutes describing the tools we will be using and demonstrating how to make a guitar string ring. You will then have thirty minutes to pick your strings and begin making your own ring. For the last ten minutes, I will show you how you can add beads to your rings if you want. If you are not into the beads, you can leave the rings as they are. The guitar string rings are beautiful in their simplicity too. Other things to note This can be great for all ages. It is great for groups and for team building! My bachelor's and master's degrees are in teaching, so if you do not think of yourself as particularly crafty, no worries. I will help out in whatever capacity is needed.

I will greet you at the door and take a look or listen to what you’re working on. I will guide you on how to make it better. I will do my best as a professional to leave you knowing how to improve both your song and your craft. And if you’d like to ask me to tell you some stories about the many musicians and singers I have written for and worked with, then that is one of my favorite things to do. I tell some of those stories at my performances and on my podcast. I am also here to answer any questions you might have about how the music business has changed in the last few years and give you any guidance on how to best navigate through that. If you’d like me to play a song for you to demonstrate a point, I’ll be happy to. And I like to give away some of my own cds to people that visit me here, that is, if you still own a CD player. I love doing this work and meeting people. My nearly 100 year old apartment is on West End Avenue, a very popular part of town near to most clubs and locations you will want to visit while you’re here. I have written songs for Johnny Cash, Trisha Yearwood, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt and many others and I can definitely get you going in the right direction and look forward to meeting you.

Welcome to a real and actual recording session with Nashville’s “hired guns” - the professional musicians, engineers, and songwriters who make and record today’s hit songs. At a historic recording studio on Nashville’s famous Music Row, have a front-row seat and watch a working idea of a song be transformed into a production that's ready for radio. Nothing is “staged” or fabricated, it’s how songs have been recorded in Nashville for decades, studio banter and all! It begins with a brief tour of the studio and broad insight into the recording process. We start by handing out Nashville number charts as we listen to the song and briefly discuss the song's vibe and direction while instruments and parts are decided on. You can listen and observe from the control room, or in headphones in the same room with the musicians if possible. From the simplicity of a songwriter and their guitar, you'll be amazed at the team's production skills as the musicians fix parts and overdub instruments while the song takes shape. All present are happy to share their own unique experience and knowledge of the music business, so don't hesitate to ask! A quick mix-down is made for anyone who wishes to receive an mp3 of the song by email. Ideally, this experience is recommended for 3 or more guests.
