Quito Historic Center is a world heritage site declared by the UNESCO and offers a whole range of interesting buildings, places and traditions. You will visit some of the most interesting and famous places in old town by pictures and videos in 360º while listening to music activating your sense of sight and hearing, this is the best way to explore the city with interesting information about places, legends, traditions and fun facts provided by a tour guide. You will see some of the best temples of Quito such as: Basilica of the National Vote, The Society of Jesus Church, covered with gold inside, San Francisco Church; places like: Plaza Grande, Ecuador Line, Mindo Cloud Forest , indigenous towns, learn Ecuadorian idioms and more! For a great ending we will prepare a traditional Ecuadorian drink or a dessert to make you feel that you are in Quito ( this activity is optional). The online experience is perfect for team building and groups as it has activities to interact with each other. We are leaving at 8:30am. from the meeting point to leave in direction to: ** BASILICA DE QUITO which is the main neogotic church in south America, We are planning to visit all inside, the towers and enjoy the view from the clock towers. ** OLD & HISTORICAL CITY: - PLAZA DE LA INDEPENDENCIA, then - IGLESIA DE LA COMPANIA, then - SAN FRANCISCO church and Square - PANECILLO HILL & VIRGIN STATUE to enjoy the view. ** MITAD DEL MUNDO ( equator line) We are visiting the real equator line where there is a very interesting museum, after an hour of tour with some interesting explanation about the history, location and some experiments to prove we are in the real line, We are leaving to: ** PULULAHUA CRATER where people live, To have some short walk and enjoy the view and maybe get a cup of coffe, After that we are coming back again to the City to Visit: ** LUNCH TIME. (optional) here will be the highlight in the whole tour due to the Organic and delicious experience you will have. THEN: **TELEFERICO (cable car) to reach the 4000 meters / above sea level and have a geat view of Quito. THEN: RETURN TO MEETING POINT. end of services. Our experience starts early picking you up at your accommodation in Quito. Then we drive 60 minutes through Andes while I will be explaining about Ecuadorian history and some interesting facts. We will arrive to San Pablo lake and enjoy a local breakfast with an spectacular view. Then, we will drive next to Otavalo and discover Peguche waterfall while we discover the culture of Otavalos, local community of the Imbabura Province. In the waterfall we will hike 30 minutes and take beautiful pictures. After that, we will drive half hour to Cuicocha Lake, located inside a volcano. We will take a boat ride around the lake and discover the history of this place and we will visit the interpretation centre. For lunch time, we have a local gastronomy experience and we will try some of the Ecuadorian flavors. We will drive back to Otavalo and spend some time in the worlds most largest handcrafted market "Mercado de Ponchos" where you can find very good deals in panama hats, alpaca blankets, and lots of handcrafted souvenirs. Of course I will assit you with my bargain skills in order to get the best deal. Finally we will be returning to Quito with a delicious coffee and local pastries before dropping off at your hotel / accomodation. If you want another date, please request availability. The tour starts from "'Basilica of de National Vote" biggest neogothic church of Latin America, waking down to Camilo Egas art museum, the next stop is the traditional paila ice cream where you will taste more than 7 fruit flavors at ¨San Agustin ice cream shop¨ with 150 years of tradition, walk a little and visit the Independence Plaza also known as ¨Plaza Grande¨, the next stop is "The Society of Jesus Church" most beautiful religious temple of Latin America and 1st place you need visit in Quito, afterwards have lunch on a traditional restaurant ¨San Ignacio¨, walk to ¨San Francisco Church and convent¨ oldest church of Quito known as Escorial of the New World, our final stop will be ¨La Ronda Street¨ center of fun and traditions and picturesque street to take photos or visit shops of panama hats, traditional toys, handicrafts etc. Notes: * Ice cream tasting is available from Tuesday to Sunday. * Be with 10 minutes in advance of the tour. * Tickets for Society of Jesus Church and Basilica are not included. * Lunch is not included
