Hike the Gorgeous Trails in Washington
First, we will decide on the day's hike based on your hiking experience and what you'd like to see (mountains, waterfalls, lakes, etc). After we pick our destination, we will drive to the trail where we'll stretch to ensure we don't pull a muscle and then get right into it. Make sure to bring snacks and a camera (optional) for the hike! I will also have a camera to capture photos and videos of our experience together that I will send to you at the conclusion of the trip!
If the date or time you want is not available, feel free to message us at contact@mileshikeclub.com
Other things to note
This will be a fun and adventurous trip so be prepared for lots of pictures and a challenge that you will surely overcome! All hiking levels welcomed!
Sailing Adventure from Bainbridge Island
S/V Rumbera departs from Bainbridge Island's Waterfront Park, an easy walk from the ferry landing and downtown Winslow. Leaving the dock, we'll pass through beautiful Eagle Harbor before raising sails. To the east you’ll see the iconic skyline of Seattle, with majestic Mount Rainier to the south, the Olympic Mountains to the west, and Mount Baker to the north.
Depending on the day, we’ll get up close to seals, explore some beautiful harbors with stunning waterfront homes, and maybe even spot whales. Or we could see a nuclear submarine, inbound container ships, or century-old schooners. You'll learn about Bainbridge Island's unique history, from having the largest shipyard for wooden vessels in the West, to the earthquake that lifted a whole section of the Island 23 feet which can still be seen today, and of being the first place from which Japanese-Americans were forcibly removed from their homes during World War II.
You decide whether you want to charter the whole boat (“private” for up to six people) or share a charter with others (“social” for up to six people). No matter what you choose, we know you’ll have fun.
Other things to note
Call (206-947-3266) or email (sailrumbera@gmail.com) Captain Scott if you have any questions about this sailing experience!
Forest hike to Twin and Snoqualmie Falls
This half day tour is a combination of a moderate 2-hour hike (a few inclines for five minutes) to the Twin Falls close up and a visit to an historic logging town, Snoqualmie, located next to the famous Snoqualmie Falls, which we view, as well.
I will pick you up in downtown Seattle and drive eastward for about 30 minutes until we arrive at the trailhead. We will hike in old growth forest along Snoqualmie River to Twin Falls and the Upper Falls (1.3 miles), which is a beautiful cascade of waterfalls.
After the hike we will drive through North Bend, where the diner from the popular tv show "Twin Peaks" is located, to the historic logging town of Snoqualmie. The locomotives of the time are still on the railroad tracks and the old depot from the year 1890 is in use till this day.
Then we go to the Snoqualmie Falls of 270 feet - followed by Borst Lake, where Mount Si is reflected in the often still lake - and then drive back to downtown Seattle.
Photoshoot in Pike Place Market
***24 HOUR EDITING!***
We'll jump into the vibrant and historic Pike Place Market. This is a MUST SEE area for visitors! We'll take pictures at the legendary "Public Market Center" sign, the Gum Wall, and explore the market for more picture-worthy hotspots! Want a sneak peek of what photos will look like? Follow me on social media at "Cameron Thomsen Photography".
I will be snapping shots during our excursion to capture every moment of your fun-filled experience! If there are multiple people or families in the group, we will rotate in and out to make sure everyone gets pictures in each location! If not, message me and we can figure it out :)
At the end, you'll end up with around 25-30 edited* pictures(per person) sent digitally. These pictures will be full resolution. You will NEED an email address to receive the pictures! I take the pictures and my wife edits them.
*(Unedited/RAW will not be sent)
***Up to 8 people can book per hour so don't be shy, you may be meeting some new friends!***
Other things to note
Bring a jacket and sunscreen. You may need both as Seattle's weather can change drastically. We will shoot regardless of weather.
Electric Bike Tour Seattle
We ride electric bikes, these are fat-tire RadPower Mini’s and step-thru Mini's, they are accessible for almost all riders. Must be 16 years old to operate the electric bike. Although the electric motor helps a lot with Seattle’s hills, you do have to pedal. At times, it can be the exercise equivalent of a brisk walk and on other points along the route it’s a pleasant stroll. Older riders may find the bikes and terrain a challenge. If you are an active bike rider you will have no problems with the electric bike.
First stop is at the Olympic Mountains and Sound Viewpoint, here I give an overview of the waterway and the geology of Seattle. We travel through the Ballard Locks and visit the fish ladder. Other options include the Fremont Troll, Gasworks Park, and Fishermen's Terminal. There are ways to customize the routes whenever possible.
Other things to note:
First part of the tour is learning how to ride an ebike. There are bags on each bike for caring personal items. Wear bright colors to increase visibility. Sunglasses are also handy.
On this tour we can social distance and be outdoors. We can easily maintain a safe distance between riders while traveling between sites and on stops. Bikes are sanitized between riders.

Mid-Day and Sunset Sails on Seattle's Majestic Puget Sound
There is a sense of magic in setting your sails, allowing the wind to carry you across water. I will gently encourage everyone to take a turn steering the boat, to feel the uniting force of wind and water. After all these years, I still find it enchanting.
We will leave the dock at Shilshole Bay Marina, motor out past the city’s famed Golden Gardens Park, watch for sea lions loafing on the Meadow Point buoy, and then set sail, heading West across Puget Sound toward the magnificent Olympic Mountains.
Along the way we will watch for orcas, schools of Dahl’s porpoises, sea lions, harbor seals, jumping salmon, bald eagles, great blue herons, cormorants, diving gulls, and other wildlife.
On the Sunset Cruise we will keep a careful watch as the sun sets behind the Olympic Mountains, for the resulting lightshow is something you will want to capture on camera. As the sun drops behind the well-named Mount Olympus and other peaks in the range, it often illuminates the feathery horizon clouds into glorious colors.
Join the Fun: Please don’t be shy about joining a cruise that already shows guests booked. It is always special when guests from different cities, states … and countries … come together to share this inspiring experience.
Whichever voyage you choose -- Morning, Afternoon, or Sunset -- it is always magical to fill the sails on the beautiful waters of Puget Sound.
Chef Tour of Pike Place Market
We will take you on a culinary tasting adventure of Pike Place Market. We will be stopping at 9 different artisanal vendors; learning about local production and tasting your way through the flavors of the Northwest.
Other things to note:
The tour takes place rain or shine. Please email if you have dietary restrictions.
Not all of our routes stop at the same places in Pike Place!
We do book private tours for 9-16 people. Please direct message us to learn more.
Our team also conducts a, more off the beaten path, tour on Fridays and Saturdays of South Lake Union.
There are small bites over many stops and limited places to sit down.
This experience requires a medium physical fitness level due to hills, stairs and uneven terrain. We do cover some distance and the market is crowded during the Summer.
If you have to drive and park please leave a lot of extra time in the high season. The lots do fill up.
Lastly, due to our tight schedule and wanting to show you as much of the market during a short time, we don't have time to shop during the tour. We encourage you to come back after the tour with your discount card to make purchases.

Visit Snoqualmie Falls and Hike to Twin Falls
This experience includes visiting two different waterfalls and includes over 1 mile of hiking.
This is a unique opportunity to venture into the temperate rainforests of the Cascades. To breathe in the fresh air of the forest and see trees that are several hundred feet tall and equally as old.
This is an experience for someone who is interested in getting a workout in the morning. The short trip includes ecological as well as cultural interpretation of the natural areas visited. It is a truly unique experience to be immersed in the cascade mountains.

Discover Portland By Bike Tour
The essential introduction to Portland. We’ll hop on well-traveled bike lanes stopping to admire the views of downtown, the river and the city’s many bridges. Then we ride along the waterfront past the brick and cast iron fronted buildings of Old Town built in the 19th and early 20th century.
Next our tour will head into Chinatown where the streets once teemed with immigrants from all over the world. From there we’ll roll through the Pearl District where turn-of-the-century warehouses have been turned into art galleries, shops, restaurants and condos.
We’ll pass Henry Weinhard’s 140 year old brewery before heading downtown. The tour cruises past a number of our favorite food carts before entering the South Park Blocks – separated from the North blocks by a century of legal battles. We’ll pedal through Oregon’s largest university then turn downhill to the waterfront and the Willamette River, lifeblood of the city and state.
Time permitting, we'll ride into some east side neighborhoods with food carts, gorgeous houses, rose gardens and vibrant shopping districts before crossing the river again.

Sunset Sailing Seattle
This cruise will last approximately 3 hours, if we are punctual, and the wind, weather or sunset are amazing, or during the longest days of summer when it is light until 10 pm, we may use some extra time to sail, so we will have some flexibility with travel to the marina and casting off to enjoy sailing! We will leave, under motor power, out of Shilshole Bay Marina and head south to Elliott Bay. During that time we will do a safety check, and then we may haul the sails and take turns learning the fundamentals of sailing and running the helm (if you would like), otherwise sit back and enjoy the views and the winds during the sail. To the west, we will have views of Blake and Bainbridge Island from Rich Passage where the downtown to to island ferrys run. Upon entering Elliott Bay, to the east, lies Elliott Bay Marina and Discovery Park, while straight ahead and to the South we will see Mount Rainier and downtown Seattle. The Great Pacific North West has many things to offer on the sea, so we hope to see porpoises, orcas, sea lions, the occasional whale or a message in a bottle, and we will definitely see the sunset! This year one Humpback, and 2 orca sightings!
Other things to note
Sailing is an all weather sport and can be cold, or hot in the sun, the cabin has relief from both. Bring warm layers, camera, sunscreen, and any food or beverages, (drinking water and ice provided).

Nothing compares to the squeal of glee when you find your first edible mushroom. Revel in the growing heft of your basket, savor the smell of fresh mushrooms mixed with nature, and feel the soft moss beneath your shoes as we trek through Seattle’s most picturesque old-growth forests.
----------
How is this experience unique?
----------
o Designed for first-time foragers.
o Focused on edibility vs. non-edibility. Be spared from memorizing scientific Latin names!
o Visit a convenient location within a 30-minute drive of Seattle.
o Find tasty mushrooms most people have never even heard of (along with famous ones)
o Use my go-to method to unearth secret locations right under your nose.
o I capture your “OMG!” Kodak moments so you can share your epic hunt.
You will learn how to find and safely identify edible mushrooms, differentiate them from questionable look-alikes, and how to clean, store, and savor them!
While I can't predict where mushrooms are fruiting, I scout the area in advance. My batting average with Mother Nature is 95%.

During the tour, we meet and interact with pigs, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. Sometimes a cat or dog makes an appearance too. We walk through the sanctuary and talk about what animals here have survived and how they have overcome hardships.

The sanctuary is home to 15 pigs of all sizes. You will meet big 800lbs pigs, little 100lbs pigs, naked pigs, furry pigs, pigs who love belly rubs and snout kisses.
