Magical llama walk with dogs, goats & flowers
(Dates and times are flexible. I can accommodate most dates and times. )
Each guest will get a llama of their choice to walk with. We will start with snacks and drinks and then go on a full tour of the farm. After seeing all the animal fields we will walk with the llamas on a small forest trail along a seasonal creek.
On our walk we will look at some ancient Indian acorn grinding rocks.
Cold drinks, a pie & ice cream will be offered on the shady lawn at the end of the tour.
If you like shopping: I have a small store with gifts, antiques and book right next door.
In the summer guests could take a refreshing swim in the swimming pool. A small pool is available for young children.
Minimum group size is 2. If you are booking just one space, I might have to cancel if there are no additional bookings.
My dates, times and group sizes are flexible. Please contact me if you like to schedule something on a specific day or time. Group or school tours are available, please inquire.
Other things to note:
During the rainy season rain boots are best since the fields can be muddy. Good walking shoes or boots are best during the dry seasons. The walk is on somewhat uneven lawns and pathways so if you have difficulties walking bring a cane or special shoes.

Vegan picnic with rescued animals
We'll start with a tour of the sanctuary where you'll meet a variety of rescued farm animals. We'll share their stories of resilience and healing and talk a bit more about the industries they come from. You'll love meeting our animal ambassadors and may be surprised at what you learn, since we so rarely see the animals in our food system.
Join us afterwards at our picnic tables in the field for a glass of local wine and a vegan cheese and charcuterie platter. (Note: The platter contains nuts and gluten unless otherwise requested. Please inform us of any allergies when you make your booking so we can be sure to provide suitable options. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served.)
The Experience will last approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Please be mindful that as a sanctuary for rescued animals, our priority is the physical and emotional well being of the rescued animals who call Charlie's Acres home.
Our loved animal residents are completely free and always have a choice as to whether or not they want to interact with visitors. They will reside at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives, where we'll have the honor of taking care of them.

Hive to Spoon - Honey Bee Experience at Urban Farm
Experience the wonder of honey bees in a beautiful, urban farm setting! Bees are important to our environment and we want to help you learn more about how bees live together in the hive and function as a superorganism.
Is your preferred date sold out? Message us!
After touring the urban farm and spotting the many pollinators busy collecting nectar and pollen on the flowers, we will move to the honey bee hives where you'll suit up and become a beekeeper with me. This experience is fun and engaging for anyone curious about the secret life of bees or connecting with nature.
You don't have to be interested in becoming a beekeeper to have a great time. You will see the bees up close and personal as you hold bees in your hands and look inside the hive. I'll point out the different jobs the bees are doing, explain how they make honey, show you the baby bees and maybe even spot the queen.
We'll conclude with a honey tasting including seasonal fruit so you can taste the honey made by the bees you visited. During the honey tasting held near the baby goats and picnic tables, we'll talk more about bees, pollination and honey.
Other things to note:
Please wear full length pants, socks that completely cover ankles and closed-toe shoes. Let me know of any bee, food or honey allergies. You might consider wearing unscented sunscreen and bringing a hat for the farm walk.
LGBTQ Castro Tours
Explore the largest sexual and gender diverse community in the world and cruise the Castro like a local on this fun and fascinating two-hour LGBTQ cultural walk. As a long-time resident and civil rights activist, I'll show you why diversity is celebrated as we meet real people with real stories in this beautiful village of rainbows. Offering the most comprehensive LGBTQ tour in the world, you'll visit twice as many historical sites than any other tour experience. Discover how the Gold Rush, World War II, civil rights leader Harvey Milk, the AIDS epidemic, and the Rainbow Honor Walk created such a strong and progressive LGBTQ community. Learn how LGBTQ equality and civil rights are still being fought for in the United States today.
Private groups of 10 or more can be accommodated on a request basis and are subject to availability.
Other things to note
Fortunately, San Francisco's weather is mostly mild year round so tours operate rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. Our route is easy, with no large hills and is handicapped accessible. There will be adult content.

Kayak Tour of Tahoe's Historic West Shore
This is a kayak tour that begins at Tahoe City's "Commons Beach" and paddles down the west shore of Lake Tahoe. This tour is great for beginner and intermediate paddlers.
I have lots of experience professionally guiding kayak tours through Tahoe City Kayak, and on this tour you'll receive some paddling instruction, while also learning interesting historical facts and stories about the Lake Tahoe.
The Tahoe City area is a great place to paddle, with free parking and easy access (especially compared to many beaches on the South and East shore of the lake). It's one of the most calm/wind protected areas of the lake, so it's a confidence inspiring zone for paddlers who are new to the sport.
Please Note: this tour requires a 2-person minimum. If you are a single person, please call Tahoe City Kayak as you may be able to join an existing party and participate that way.
Camp like a Californian: Yosemite
Day 1
In the morning of the first day, your guide will meet you at the Hilton Union Square before leaving the city behind. We cross the Central Valley and through gold rush country on our way into the mountains. We'll break up the drive with a short stop to pick up lunch for the day and any other last minute necessities you might need.
Upon reaching the park, enjoy lunch among giants as we arrive at a grove of Giant Sequoia trees. Your guide will recommend a hike to explore these fascinating trees, some which measure up to 300 feet tall, 30 feet wide, and some older than two thousand years old.
Continuing further into the park with a narrated tour by your guide, you'll descend into Yosemite Valley and be delighted by Tunnel View, one of the most famous and photographed parts of the park. While in Yosemite Valley, your guide will give you an orientation to the park as well as an explanation of the itinerary and options for the next two days.
Now it's time to head to camp and get set up for the next few days. We supply the camping and cooking equipment necessary for a trip of this nature, using quality tents, camping and cooking equipment. Everybody is expected to participate in the set-up and breakdown of camp. Dinner is included tonight and your guide will make sure to provide all the ingredients for a home-cooked feast at camp.
Top off your first night camping with a campfire.
Day 2
Travel to Yosemite National Park to hike among a grove of Giant Sequoias & experience one of the best views in the park.
Day 3
Spend a full day exploring Yosemite High Country & hitting the trails. Your guide will recommend all the best spots.
Pack up camp and set out for one last epic hike among some of Yosemite's tallest waterfalls.
Mendocino Historic District Walking Tour
Kelley House docents lead you on a beautiful and informative walking tour through the preserved-in-time 19th century village of Mendocino, designated as a National Historic Preservation District. The tour takes between 1.5 - 2 hours.
Prepare to be entertained with colorful tales from the town’s rough and tumble past. Learn how a shipwreck led to the discovery of the redwood forest, which brought lumber mills that supplied California’s gold rush era building boom. Visit New England-style pioneer homes, find out why Mendocino is known as the city of water towers, admire gardens with 100-year-old roses, and hear the secrets of a haunted hotel. You’ll learn why so many movie directors have used Mendocino as a shooting location, and how an art renaissance in the ‘60s led to the town’s preservation.
Enjoy Mendocino’s rich cultural heritage, from the Pomo tribe that lived here for thousands of years enjoying the bounties of the land and sea, to the European and Chinese immigrants who built the town you see today.
The town of Mendocino is a 15 minute drive south from Fort Bragg, CA so if you are staying in that vicinity we hope you will come on our tour.
