Indlela esisiza ngayo izivakashi zihlele uhambo oluvumelana kakhudlwana nezimo
This is the time of year when many Airbnb guests plan holidays and vacations. We understand that the uncertainty of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has left many of us questioning if and when we can start planning future travel. We’re here to help.
To give travelers more peace of mind, we’re making it easier to find and book more flexible options. Here are some new features and recommendations for booking more flexible reservations:
1. Cancellation policy filter
We’ve added a new search filter that makes it easier for you to find and book accommodations with flexible cancellation policies. Before you book, you can select the cancellation policy that works best for you:
- Flexible: Full refund of nightly rate 1 day prior to arrival
- Moderate: Full refund of nightly rate 5 days prior to arrival
- Strict: 50% refund of nightly rate up to 1 week prior to arrival
2. 100% Airbnb guest service fee refund
We understand circumstances will continue to change, and we want to offer travelers additional peace of mind in planning future trips. For bookings made between March 10, 2020 and June 1, 2020, if you need to cancel and wouldn’t otherwise be due a refund of the Airbnb guest service fee, we’ll refund that fee as a travel coupon which can be used on a future trip.
You can find the travel coupon by going to your profile, selecting account, and choosing “Payments & Payouts.” When you make your next booking, you will have the credit as a payment option to apply to your reservation.
3. Get faster refunds with our new tool
If you selected a moderate or strict cancellation policy and need to cancel your trip, we’ve launched a new tool that makes it easy for hosts to offer refunds if you’re unable to make the trip due to the coronavirus. Hosts set their own cancellation policies, and many of them rely on Airbnb reservations to make ends meet—so please be understanding if hosts aren’t able to accommodate a refund on bookings with moderate or strict cancellation policies.
If you already have plans to travel, you may be eligible for a full refund through our extenuating circumstances policy. We recommend bookmarking this Help Center page to get the latest information about eligible reservations that can be canceled without charges through this policy.
We want to empower our guests to make the right decisions for their trips—and these new policies are one way we’re doing that. Stay tuned for more news and updates at Airbnb.com/COVID.
