Hove Lawns is not officially a park but it has a big green space and it is just next to the beach – nature’s playground. Lots of people picnic here and throw a ball around.
Running behind the beach from The Peace Statue to St Aubyn's, the lawns are a great place for meeting, sitting and watching the world go by. People use them to play football and other sports, have a barbecue or just to wander along in peace.
Just a short walk away are the well known Hove Lawns. You can walk down to the seafront and take a picnic and sit and enjoy a lovely day here. Swimming is fabulous with lifeguards stationed just near to the Lawns Cafe for your safety. There are public toilets in this area so you can spend a full day on the beach. On a hot summer evening many locals and holiday makers will take small disposable barbecues to the beach after 6pm for an early evening soiree. Some evening the sunset is amazing and well worth just going to sit and watch. See the famous brightly painted beach huts along the sea front.
