This is a historic landmark on the north end of the Logan Square neighborhood. It is a good gathering and hangout spot for locals and families. The monument is where Logan Blvd, Milwaukee Blvd and Kedzie intersect and is the center around which a lot of our great restaurants and businesses make their homes.

The Illinois Centennial Monument commemorates the 100th anniversary of the state of Illinois being accepted into the Union. The monument also serves as the site of the annual Logan Square Arts Festival, and is symbol of the square.

Stroll around on Logan Boulevard and Kedzie Boulevard to see some beautiful mansions! These are my favorite streets to stroll.

Located in the heart of Logan Square and the boulevards district. Lovely to read a book or have a picnic. Also right by my favorite brunch spot - Lula Cafe.

Condensed from Wikipedia: The Illinois Centennial Monument was built in 1918 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Illinois' statehood. The monument was designed by Henry Bacon, famed architect of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. It is a single 70-foot (21 m) tall marble Doric column topped by an eagle, in reference to the Flag of Illinois.
