Marylebone station is the setting for the frenetic opening sequence of the 1964 A Hard Day’s Night, in which the Beatles are chased by hordes of screaming fans. Sadly, the photo and phone booths where they hide are no more (the location of the latter is now occupied by Marks & Spencer), but you can still walk through the entrance where they arrive. If you’re a Beatles fan, make the five-minute walk from Marylebone to Baker Street, and take the 139 bus to Abbey Road (10-15 minutes) to join the tourists photographing themselves on the famous zebra crossing from the Abbey Road album cover.
