Mangandō

If you go to Asakusa, be sure to eat Mangando’s signature sweet potato cake. The version they make features a lot of sweet potato, with sweet bean paste tucked away in the thin layers of this treat. It’s quite close to the neighborhood’s famous Kaminarimon gate and the large Sensoji temple. The store’s sweet potato cake is good for a whole day, but I think these are at their absolute best when eaten warm.
