This incense specialty store has a long history—the family behind it has been importing raw ingredients for incense for generations. Here you can find Japanese incense of many aromas at various prices, plus utensils used in Japanese incense ceremonies, or kodo, favored by the Shino-ryu and Oie-ryu schools of kodo. For a hands-on experience, you can join an incense ceremony. The fee is ¥2,500, and you’ll need to reserve a spot ahead of your visit. They also have a simpler incense smelling activity, which you also need to reserve in advance.
