If you are looking to support the local economy, buy local at the Saturday morning Derby Farmers Market. Just a 15 minute walk away. The market runs April to October, but depending on the season, might not be that impressive. Still worth checking out if you wanted to see the Tamale lady or the local farmers selection of in-season produce.
