Previously known as the Old Court House Museum, and originally opened in 1885, the museum was rebuilt due to a destructive fire in 1903. Nowadays, the museum houses collections of historic importance to the region such as displays concerning daily life, crime and punishment, period costume, militaria and geology of Batemans Bay.
The Museum is open 10 to 3pm Tuesday to Thursday. Next to the beautiful water gardens with many water birds and boardwalk over the small lake - a must for birdlovers - in winter can be home for flying fox colony.
