Just around the corner and absolutely lovely. You can visit every day! There is a Visitors centre with cafe at the top and another cafe in Fairlight Village, near the church. The church tower is sometimes open to visitors climb up and look at the view. You might spot seals swimming in the sea below the cliffs.

My favourite place to walk close to Hastings. You could even walk to the fire hills from st Leonards if you’re up for it ! And beyond with 5 hours to spare to Rye and get the train back . Alternatively, drive up to fair light and admire the views .

Hastings Country Park Local Nature Reserve, known locally as The Firehills. Signposted as the Country Park on the road to Fairlight, on the A259 Hastings Rye Road, in Ore village before leaving Hastings. The reserve consists of Hastings Cliffs Special Area of Conservation, Hastings Cliffs to Pett Beach Site of Special Scientific Interest and Hastings Country Park, as well as heritage designations such as scheduled ancient monument. This is a stunning park with many footpaths and gorgeous views across the channel. On a sunny day when the sea turns green, it looks tropical. The paths rarely gets too busy especially if you walk towards Hastings. The walk can be steep, up and down following the cliffs but it is worth it for the views. If you are up for it, park at the main car park, walk to Hastings for lunch and walk back.
