Harry V. and Harriet T. Moore were the leading civil rights activists in Florida during the 1930s and 40s. He and his wife fought against injustices against the state’s African American population and were forceful advocates against racial violence and lynching in Florida. Visit their cultural complex to learn about their unique contributions to the early civil rights movement. Walk the grounds to see their museum, historic exhibits, a library and a restoration of the Moore’s home before it was bombed in an act of racial violence. Enjoy the picnic pavilion with kitchen, the gazebo and Walk of Freedom walkway with your family while you reflect on their historic work.
