Beautiful Roman Temple in the center of Nimes. Not huge, but incredibly well preserved.
The Maison Carree in Nimes, France, is one of the best preserved temples of the time of the Roman Empire. Built in the very beginning of the 1st century. AD., possibly built by order of Marcus Agrippa Vipsanius.
Visit the Maison Carrée for a fantastic historical/reenactment film that describes the origins of Nimes.
