This is pretty magical. Recently discovered myself - if you're into wild swimming and happy to jump into a river, then this is your local spot. Volunteers have been working tirelessly to bring the life back into this ancient waterway (when Wherry's were the means of transporting goods in this area, before the railways) clearing the weeds and bringing this water back to life. In so doing they have created a great spot for wild swimming. We suggest park up at the lock and either jump in off the jetty and take a dip, or if you feel like enjoying the footpath, then meander off for a walk upstream and dip in and out as you please. It's quite, quite magical.
