The menu is pared back at this sashimi bar—just raw fish, vegetables and rice—but that’s why I love it. Build your own dish by choosing a base, protein, topping, and sauce, or go for combinations like the Green Room: raw tuna, coriander, cucumber, green chilli, wasabi peas, and ponzu dressing. A big dose of fish and veg is great fuel for your body and mind. I usually eat here before a stroll along the beach to North Bondi—I go right to the end and climb over the rocks of the headland. Most of the time you’ll have the spot all to yourself. It’s very peaceful, meditative, and Zen watching the ocean and feeling the sea breeze.

In the Pacific Complex a 5 minute walk along Campbell Parade, this is the largest bottle shop with the best prices.
