Recently refurbished, revamped menus, nice historic inn in central Dumfries. Check opening times.
Robert Burns' favourite pub, with food served during the day, and live traditional music every Monday (and other nights sometimes). Just off the High Street, behind the British Heart Foundation shop.
Historic pub on a flagstone passage, with local food and a small museum dedicated to Robert Burns. The Globe Inn was established in 1610 and became the favourite haunt of our Scottish national poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796) during the eight years he spent in Dumfriesshire from 1788–1796, where unfortunately he died at the young age of 37.
