For yet more great hikes farther afield, Mount Tamalpais is laced with great hiking trails, and stunning views over the ocean . The grand outdoor Mountain Theater, built during the WPA, hosts the Mountain Play every summer. Quite the event, but the rest of the time it's still just worth seeing.
