Visitors to Roche Rock, please park at the Sports and Social Club, where there is ample FREE parking and NOT in the residential area of St Michael's Way.

Just down the road from Demelza, in Roche, is this amazing, and mystical outcrop of granite. It’s a short walk around and a great rock scramble for active kids - nature’s playground, but it can get over-grown, so would recommend wearing trousers and sturdy footwear. Get to the other side of the rock and you’ll see the remains of a chapel, built on top. It is shrouded in folklore and legend and provides Roche with its name. Access through the sports centre car park on road to St Austell.

So close to the shack to not have a quick look on the way to Eden project or south coast . Lots of local legends attached to this and if you’re brave enough you can climb to the top
