Our favorite beach in Charlevoix. Enjoy lots of space for a non crowded beach day, we usually head farther down Park Ave to one of the more secluded beach access sites. It is more of a walk but the privacy and space are worth it.
Charlevoix’s crystal-clear water takes on such a beautiful turquoise that Lake Michigan seems almost tropical. There is so much to explore along this beautiful stretch of the northern Michigan coast: swimming, beaching, hiking and biking.
In Charlevoix...a beautiful spot to visit if you haven’t been here yet! There’s an old fashioned draw bridge that allows you to see boats come in and out - and even boat tours. The beach is great for all ages and has a play structure for kids. The mushroom houses are right nearby, along with some fun trails that lead to other less traveled beaches. Highly recommend taking a day trip to Charlevoix!

Connects Lake Charlevoix to Lake Michigan. You can't get these views anywhere else!
You must drive over for a sunset on MI beach and prepare to be overwhelmed with natures beauty. There's an historic lighthouse and my favorite stories from my Dad include him diving off the top as non-locals threw coins into the crystal clear water for him to retrieve. There is a picnic area and beach, park, fish hatchery. Take a blanket or chairs to watch the view. I prefer a nice sauvignon blanc as well:) The kids can swim on a warm night and the grownups can just enjoy. We used to spend a whole day there, eat in town - a few blocks up and head back for sunset.
