This short hike takes visitors to a small but popular waterfall. This trail lies almost entirely inside the congressionally designated Gee Creek Wilderness. Trail length to the falls is just over 1 mile from the trailhead, making it a 2-mile roundtrip hike. Directions: When traveling on Hwy 411 South from Etowah, turn left on Gee Creek Road. There is a road sign along the way that says “Gee Creek Wilderness.” After crossing the railroad tracks, bear right onto Wetmore Springs Road. This road will follow the RR tracks for about 1.3 miles then will veer sharply left and away from them. Upon entering the Cherokee National Forest the road surface will change to gravel and be designated as FS Road 2013. Remain on this road and you will see the Gee Creek information board and trailhead sign take Gee Creek trail #191.
