This is where I often surf with my family (best in the mornings), but there is a lot to see here at any time. This is where the river meets the see and only 5 mins drive from Salty's (a bit longer on the pushbike). There is the Marine Rescue Station where you are welcome to visit and where you will see the most amazing view of the ocean, mountains and river. It is well worth a walk from there to the old pilot light, which is unfortunately in disrepair. Fishermen love it here. The quality boat ramp and jetty is here too. Depending on your luck and the season, you may see dolphins, seals, whales and sea eagles.

Crookhaven Heads is a coastal village only a few kilometres from Culburra Beach. It is here that the Shoalhaven and Crookhaven Rivers run into the Tasman Sea, offering superb access to one of Australia's finest deep-water and estuarine fishing areas. Crookhaven Heads has one of the regions biggest boat ramps. The nearest town for supplies is Culburra.
