Now a volunteer-run local museum, the building was originally a Spanish-mission style baptist church, built in 1919. The grounds include a garden featuring local native plants, and a display of industrial equipment from the former Kandos cement works. You can help to support the museum by buying one of their linen souvenir tea towels -- designed and handprinted by the Kandos Museum tea towel squad. A step back in time to our neighbouring town, originally the home of cement , a great spot to visit.
A unique museum with a huge amount of interesting items involved in the creation and output of one of the few company towns in Australia and Kandos' role in the providing Cement for NSW, including the pylons of The Sydney Harbour Bridge. They also have a Tesla charging station and a café!
