Take a trip to the city of ChiTown on a weekend and buy a pass for $10 - which will let you ride to and from Chicago for that one price all weekend. You can park your car for the entire weekend at the train station for next to nothing (like a couple of bucks.) Great deal for a cheap getaway that normally would cost much more!

If you are traveling from Chicago, the Metra is a great way to get to the lake. From Harvard, you can get an Uber and be in Fontana in 15 minutes.
