The Bardo is one of the most important museums of the Mediterranean basin, and the second largest on the African continent after the Egyptian Museum. The main draw at the Tunisia's top museum is its magnificent collection of Roman mosaics.
A must visit. This museum harbours one of the most impressive collection of Roman mosaics in the world. Learn about Tunisia’s history and all the civilisations it hosted from Carthage to Rome to the Arab conquests and the Ottoman Empire.
it's not like any museum. Unfortunately, it's not well presented, no good guide but you can make your own visit by an immersion in history. Better to read on books/ guides/ goo gle/ before going there. Transport : easy : Tram n° 4 --till Bardo station then 5 minutes walk. Use g oo gle maps and be careful on your phone in the street.
